Louis Herthum

Louis Herthum (born July 5, 1956, Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American actor and producer. He started his career as an actor in 1978, performing in local theater, local and regional TV commercials and print advertisements.

Early career

Herthum has worked as a stage, television, and film actor, and has appeared in national commercials. In 1991, he joined the cast of Murder, She Wrote; he played Deputy Andy Broom in the show's final five seasons (1991-96).

Producing

In March 1996, after completing his final episode of Murder, She Wrote, Louis turned his attention to film production and returned to his hometown, Baton Rouge to produce Favorite Son, his first feature film.[1] Since then, he has, through his Baton Rouge-based production company, Ransack Films, produced a total of five feature films including Red Ridge and one feature length documentary, The Season Before Spring and one short film, The Grapevine.

Entrepreneurial endeavors

Louis is the Founder/CEO of LocationTalent.com, a global, geographically searchable talent database. The site was launched in 2007 and offers a place where people of any and all types or discipline's of 'talent' can create a profile, making themselves available to "talent seekers" who are looking for people with their specific talent, in their specific location.

Most recently

Film credits include; In the Electric Mist, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, I Love You Phillip Morris, American Inquisition, The Open Road, Tekken, 12 Rounds, Seconds Apart, and The Last Exorcism. He has appeared on television in episodes of Men of a Certain Age, Treme, Breaking Bad and The Gates.

In 2011 he joined the cast of the TV-series True Blood.[2] He is currently playing Omar on Longmire.[3] He provided the voice and motion capture of the antagonist Mundus in the video game DmC: Devil May Cry.
