Louis Daniel Scherer was an American football coach in the United States. He was an alumnus of the University of Chicago.[1]
Coaching career
Scherer was the head college football coach for the Baker Wildcats located in Baldwin City, Kansas. He held that position for 3 seasons, from 1910 until 1912.[2] His coaching record at Baker was 8 wins, 13 losses and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2012 season, this ranks him #8 at Baker in total wins and #16 at the school in winning percentage (.391).[3][4] Prior to coming to Baker, Scherer served as physical director for Nebraska State Normal School at Peru, Nebraska.
He died in Washington in 1963.[5]
