The Lory Meagher Cup (Irish: Chorn Labhraí Uí Mheachair) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is a competition for the fourth tier of inter-county hurling teams, and is an extension of the Senior Hurling Championship, the sport's premier knock-out competition. The winning team has the choice to be promoted to the Nicky Rackard Cup under the 2008 Hurling Development proposals.[1]
The competition, named after Kilkenny hurler Lory Meagher, involves a series of games played during the summer months. Held each year since 2009, the final is played at Croke Park, Dublin. The inaugural Lory Meagher Cup final was played on 11 July 2009, with Tyrone winning the title. The reigning champions are Longford.

The changes will be accompanied by a similar restructuring of the Christy Ring Cup and Nicky Rackard Cup (eight teams each) and the Lory Meagher Cup (four teams) in line with the vision outlined in the 2008 Hurling Development proposals.
