Longtail Studios

Longtail Studios is a videogame developer started by Gérard Guillemot, one of the cofounders of Ubisoft Entertainment. The founding mission of the company was to create character driven video games. Now Longtail Studios is primarily focused on creating games for today’s mainstream gaming audience.

Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia- Canada, Longtail Studios has experience developing for several platforms including the Nintendo WiiU, Xbox 360 Kinect, PlayStation 3 Move, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and iOS.

Longtail Studios' published games include MotionSports Adrenaline for Xbox360 Kinect and PlayStation 3 Move, Dance on Broadway for Wii, Dance on Broadway for PS3 Move, Sprung (as Guillemot Inc.), Grey's Anatomy: The Video Game, Imagine: Sweet 16 and Dance on Broadway. Its mobile games include TNA Wrestling, a professional wrestling video game for iOS.

As of June 2012, the company is currently developing "Sports Connection", a WiiU launch title to be published by Ubisoft

The studio, as of 2012, employs about 35 development staff. In recent years, all of Longtail's titles have been published by Ubisoft.
