London Buses route 267 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Hammersmith bus station and Fulwell garage, it is operated by London United.

History

Route 267 commenced operating on 9 May 1962 between Hammersmith The Grove and Hampton Court Palace as a replacement for trolleybus route 667 with AEC Routemasters.

It was withdrawn between Fulwell and Hampton Court and replaced by new route R68 in 1991 with extensions to Hampton Church for school journeys and to Hampton Court Palace from 9 May 1992 for summer Sundays. The school service stopped in 1998.

The route runs daily from Hammersmith bus station to Fulwell garage. A summer Sunday extension to Hampton Court Palace ceased in October 2012.

Route 267 has been stationed at Fulwell garage with mainly MCW Metrobuses, and also Alexander Royale bodied Volvo Olympians, Northern Counties Palatine bodied Olympians and Dennis Darts. The route was converted to low floor operation in 2002 with Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident 2s and gained Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B7TLs. In 2005, brand new Scania OmniDekkas were introduced.

In March 2008, the frequency was increased and brand new Scania OmniCitys were introduced, but were transferred to route 65 in 2012, leaving route 267 with the older OmniDekkas.

Upon being re-tendered, the route was retained by London United with a new contract commencing on 12 November 2005.[1] London United retained the route when next tendered, with a new contract commencing on 10 November 2012.[2][3]
