The Loma Linda University School of Medicine is the medical school division of Loma Linda University and is located in Loma Linda, California.

History

Loma Linda Medical School opened in 1909. In the years since, the medical campus has been moved twice and has been located at the Loma Linda University Medical Center since 1967.

Admissions

Loma Linda is a member of AMCAS and applications must be submitted to their database. The MCAT is required prior to application.

Because Loma Linda is a religious university affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist church, preference is given to members of their faith. However, there are spots reserved every year for members of other faiths.

Tuition & fees is $44,261 per year.

Departments

Loma Linda is divided into twenty one departments. There are three basic science departments, fourteen clinical departments, and four intermediary departments: pathology, human anatomy, public health, and preventive medicine.

Students do their third and fourth year clinical rotations at Loma Linda University Medical Center, with options to do "away" rotations at other hospitals.
