Loch Raven High School

Loch Raven High School is a high school in Baltimore County, Maryland. Its name is derived from its proximity to the Loch Raven Reservoir.

History

The school was founded in 1972 and is part of the Baltimore County Public Schools system. Some of the middle schools whose graduates then enter Loch Raven High are Pine Grove Middle School, Ridgely Middle School, Loch Raven Technical Academy, and Cockeysville Middle School

Activities

Starting the 2009-2010 school year the school started a new FIRST Robotics team. In March 2010 they participated in the DC regional and placed 16th out of 59th their rookie year. The team continued into a second year for 2010-2011, even after losing full access to Loch Raven's facilities, through Dulaney High School's donation of use of its facilities.
