Live at Donington 1990
Live at Donington 1990 is a live album by English hard rock band Whitesnake It was recorded at Castle Donington on 18 August 1990 during the Monsters of Rock festival.[1] It was released on 20 May 2011 in Japan,[1] 3 June in Europe and 7 June in the US[1][2][3] The group was performing with a modern sound system at the time, which ensured an impressive sound quality, what transpires on the disk. The performance at Monsters of Rock Festival was simply superb. The concert already existed in bootleg format, produced by BBC Radio, and became an object of cult among the band's fans. Thus, through a mobilization on the group's website, fans requested the release of the footage of the concert, and ordered the release of the audio of the show in a professional manner. Among other requests from fans on site were the order of the release of the videos of the show at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1980, Donington in 1983 and the Rock in Rio in 1985.
The album was released as a 2-CD set,[2] a single DVD set, a 2CD/DVD digipack and as a digital edition.[4] The disc was also released on triple vinyl, with audiophile mastering and 180 grams.
