Little Mountain[1] is a hill on the border of Lake County's Concord Township and Geauga County's Chardon Township in Ohio, U.S., with an elevation of 1,227 feet (374 m).[1] It, along with nearby Gildersleeve Mountain, Brown Mountain, and Thompson Ledges, is located along the northern ridge of an extension of the Allegheny Plateau.[2]

The first permanent modern settler arrived at Little Mountain in 1815.[2]

In the late 19th Century, a resort[3] was located near the summit; it has been the location of various hotels, the first built in 1831, the last demolished in 1925. Among the resort's frequent visitors were James A. Garfield and John D. Rockefeller.[2][4] A nearby settlement called Joice's Corners existed briefly during the time of the resort.[2][5]

Nearby Holden Arboretum provides tours of Little Mountain,[6] whose access is otherwise restricted,[2][7] and owns much of the land encompassing it.[2][4]
