Litsea longifolia is a species of plant in the Lauraceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka. It is known as "rath keliya - රත් කෙලිය" in Sinhala.
Leaves
alternate, oval, acute to rounded base, beneath rufous pubescent.
Trunk
Bark - rough, gray; young parts brown tomentose.
Flowers
Inflorescence - umbels small, clustered in axils of fallen leaves, short peduncles.
Fruits
globose drupe; on shallow cup-shaped perianth.
Ecology
montane and rain forest understory and fringes.
Uses
Bark - medicinal.
