Litsea iteodaphne is a species of plant in the Lauraceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
alternate, variable, narrowly oval-lanceolate, rounded to acute base, subacute apex, veins inconspicuous, beneath paler.
Trunk
Bark - rather rough; young parts finely silky hairy.
Flowers
greenish white, in 4's, nearly sessile; I- small umbels, solitary, or clustered, axillary.
Fruits
purplish red, ovoid drupe; cup-shaped perianth.
Ecology
montane and rain forest subcanopy and understory.
