Litsea glaberrima is a species of plant in the Lauraceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
alternate, lanceolate, acute to obtuse ends, lateral veins few, arching.
Trunk
Bark - smooth, reddish brown; young parts slightly pubescent.
Flowers
Inflorescence - white, 4-flowered umbels, very small, clustered, axillary.
Fruits
dark purple, globose drupe; shallowly cup-shaped perianth.
Ecology
montane forest subcanopy.
