Lithuania is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Athletics

Lithuanian athletes have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following athletics events (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event):[1][2]
- Men's 20 km walk (Marius Žiūkas, Marius Šavelskis)[3]
- Women's marathon (Vaida Žūsinaitė, Diana Lobačevskė)
- Women's 20 km walk (Brigita Virbalytė-Dimšienė, Neringa Aidietytė, Kristina Saltanovič)[3]
Sailing

Lithuania has qualified one boat for each of the following events upon receiving a place from the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.[4]
- Men's sailboard – RS:X (Juozas Bernotas)
- Women's one-person dinghy – Laser Radial (Viktorija Andrulytė)
Swimming

Lithuanian swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and potentially 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[5][6]

- Men's 200 m freestyle – 1 quota place (Danas Rapšys)[7]
- Women's 100 m breaststroke – 1 quota place (Rūta Meilutytė)[8]
