List of video game crowdfunding projects

The Double Fine Adventure Kickstarter campaign in March 2012 raised over three million dollars and is credited with catalysing the use of crowdfunding in video games.[1] The following is a list of notable video game projects (in hardware, software, and related media) that have embarked upon crowdfunding campaigns. Only when the amount raised is highlighted in green did the project receive those funds.
