The Galleria in
Houston is the largest mall in Texas.
The history of shopping malls in Texas began with the oldest shopping center in the United States, Highland Park Village, which opened in 1931 in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.[1] The Greater Houston area is home to numerous regional shopping malls and shopping centers located in various areas of the city.
