The list of shipwrecks in 1902 includes some ships sunk, foundered, grounded, or otherwise lost during 1902.
January
Unknown date
- Barque Glenbervie ( United Kingdom) wrecked at Lowland Point near Coverack, Cornwall, laden with 600 barrels of whisky, 400 barrels of brandy and barrels of rum.[1] The 16 crewmen were saved by lifeboat.[2]
12 January
- Perseverance ( Belgium) collided with Andreas in the River Usk, Monmouthshire, United Kingdom and was severely damaged. Later repaired and returned to service.[3]
March
5 March
- Waesland ( United States): Collided with Harmonides ( United Kingdom) off Anglesey, United Kingdom and sank with the loss of two passengers.[4][5]
25 March
- John Ewin ( United Kingdom): The schooner got into difficulties in the Teifi Estuary. Her crew were taken off by Lizzie & Charles Leigh Clare ( Royal National Lifeboat Institution). She was subsequently wrecked.[6]
April
13 April
- Legia ( Belgium) collided with Julia (flag unknown) off the Newarp Lightvessel ( United Kingdom) and sank.[3]
May
6 May
- Camorta ( United Kingdom): sank in the Irrawaddy Delta with the loss of all 737 passengers and crew.
24 May
- Stanleyville ( Belgium): Wrecked off Takoradi, Gold Coast.[4]
May 27
- HMS Recruit ( Royal Navy): The Brazen-class destroyer struck rocks half a mile north of Cape Cornwall. Refloated and towed to Penzance by tugs.[7]
June
7 June
- Thomas Wilson ( United States): sank in Duluth harbour after a collision with the George Hadley ( United States). Nine crew were killed.
12 June
- Advance ( Australia): Ran aground at Henry's Point, Botany Bay and was wrecked.

- Crête-à-Pierrot ( Haitian Navy): The gunboat was scuttled at Gonaïves to prevent her capture by SMS Panther ( Kaiserliche Marine). All five crew on board were killed.

10 October
- Yoshina Maru ( Japan): Caught fire in the Van Diemen Strait and abandoned. Drifted ashore at Kagoshima.[8]

5 November
- Elingamite ( Australia): Sank near the Three Kings Islands, New Zealand with the loss of 45 passengers and crew.

- George Rennie ( Australia): Sunk as breakwater, Picnic Bay, Queensland.
