The 'list of shipwrecks in 1841 includes some ships sunk, wrecked or otherwise lost during 1841.
January
4 January
- Thames ( United Kingdom): The steamship was wrecked on the Cribewidden Rock, off the Isles of Scilly with the loss of all but five of those on board. She was on a voyage from Dublin to London.

- Fanny ( United Kingdom): The schooner was wrecked on the Mixon Sands, in the Bristol Channel. Her three crew were rescued.[1]
February
1 February
- Elton ( United Kingdom): The ship was wrecked on the Haisborough Sands, in the North Sea off the coast of Norfolk. Her crew were rescued.[2]
March
12 March
- President ( United Kingdom): The paddle steamer was last sighted om this date whilst on a voyage from New York, United States to Liverpool, Lancashire. She subsequently foundered with the loss of all people on board.
Unknown date
- Trouvadore ( Spain): The slave ship was wrecked off East Caicos with the loss of about 100 lives. There were 213 survivors.
April
19 April
- William Brown ( United States): The ship collided with an iceberg 250 nautical miles (460 km) south east of Cape Race, Newfoundland, British North America and foundered with the loss of 31 of the 81 people on board. Survivors were rescued by Crescent (flag unknown). William Brown was on a voyage from Liverpool, Lancashire, United Kingdom to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

2 October
- Peggy ( United Kingdom): The sloop was wrecked at Cardigan. She was on a voyage from Caernarfon to Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire.[3]

14 November
- Buckingham ( United Kingdom): The ship was wrecked on the Barnard Sand, in the North Sea off the coast of Suffolk with the loss of all hands.[2]
- Hope ( United Kingdom): The ship was driven ashore at Covehithe, Suffolk. Her crew were rescued.[2]
19 November
- Elizabeth & Ann ( United Kingdom): The ship was driven ashore on the Suffolk coast.[2]
28 November
- William Salthouse ( United Kingdom): The ship struck a reef in Port Philip Bay and was wrecked. She was on a vouyage from Montreal, Quebec, British North America to Melbourne, New South Wales.
