- Daniel and Harriet ( Great Britain): The ship foundered in the Irish Sea off Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland before 26 January with the loss of all hands.[1]
- Douglas ( Great Britain): The ship foundered in the Irish Sea off Cork, Ireland before 26 January.[1]

- Matilda ( Great Britain): The full-rigged ship, a whaler, was wrecked on a shoal in the Pacific Ocean. Twenty-two survivors were rescued by HMS Providence ( Royal Navy), Britannia and Jenny (both Great Britain).

- Hales Castle ( Great Britain): The ship was run into by the brig Paisley ( Great Britain) in the Firth of Forth and sank. Three of her six crew were rescued by Paisley, the other three by HMS Martin ( Royal Navy).[2]

- Betsy ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked at Quillebeuf-sur-Seine, Eure, France.[2]
- Echo ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Jutland, Denmark.[2]

- Juliana ( United States): The ship was wrecked at "Carne" whilst on a voyage from Maryland to Newry, County Down, Ireland.[3]

- Clyde ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Bornholm, Denmark.[9]
- Endeavour ( Great Britain): The ship foundered in the Irish Sea off Dublin, Ireland whilst on a voyage from Liverpool, Lancashire to Ostend, West Flanders, France.[10]
- Favourite ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Jutland.[9]
- Holbeach ( Great Britain): The sloop was wrecked on the Dutch coast. Her crew were rescued.[9]
- Holtham ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Jutland.[9]
- Hope ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on "Studenland".[9]
- Jenny ( Great Britain): The ship sprang a leak and foundered in the Irish Sea whilst on a voyage from Cork, Ireland to Bristol, Gloucestershire. Her crew were rescued.[10]
- Jenny ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Bornholm.[9]
- Juffrouw Tabitha ( Dutch Republic): The ship foundered whilst on a voyage from Bordeaux, Gironde, France to Bremen.[9]
- Kingston ( Great Britain): The ship foundered off the coast of Jutland whilst on a voyage from Saint Petersburg, Russia to Hull, Yorkshire.[9]
- Kitty ( Great Britain): The ship foundered in the English Channel off Beachy Head, East Sussex whilst on a voyage from Gibraltar to London. Hr crew were rescued by Duke of York ( Great Britain).[10]
- Mary Ann ( Great Britain): The ship foundered in Swansea Bay whilst on a voyage from Cork to Bristol.[10]
- Peggy ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Jutland.[9]
- Perseverance ( Great Britain): The ship was driven ashore on Skagen, Denmark whilst on a voyage from Memel, East Prussia to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.[9]
- Snell ( Great Britain): The ship foundered in the North Sea off Ramsgate, Kent whilst on a voyage from Lisbon, Portugal to London.[10]
- Tobago ( France): The ship was driven ashore at Ostend and was wrecked. She was on a voyage from Dunquerque, Nord to Tobago.[10]
- Two Betseys ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the Duthc coast. Her crew were rescued.[9]
- Unity ( Great Britain): The ship was wrecked on the coast of Jutland.[9]

- Conception ( Spain): The ship foundered in the Atlantic Ocean whilst on a voyage from Havana, Cuba to Alicante.[8]
- Foulis ( British East India Company): The East Indiaman foundered whilst homeward bound.[11]
- Kitty ( Great Britain): The whaler was wrecked by ice in the Davis Strait. Her crew were rescued by John and Margaret( Great Britain).[12]
- Navarro ( Spain): The ship was wrecked on Anegada, Virgin Islands before 12 August. She was on a voyage from St. Andero to Havana, Cuba.[13]
- Polly ( United States): The ship foundered in the Atlantic Ocean whilst on a voyage from New York to Saint Barthélemy.[2]
- Sion ( United States): The ship foundered in the Atlantic Ocean whilst on a voyage from New York to Amsterdam, Dutch Republic.[14]
