Several Political parties operate in Veneto.
No party has the chance of gaining power alone and thus parties must work with each other to form coalition governments.
The region's five largest parties are Liga Veneta–Lega Nord, the Democratic Party, the Five Star Movement, Forza Italia and the Tosi List for Veneto. In the last regional election, held in March 2010, a coalition composed of Liga Veneta and The People of Freedom, Forza Italia's predecessor, came ahead of the coalition led by the Democratic Party.

Medium parties
Between 4% and 20% in the 2010 regional election (or at least 5 regional councillors):
- New Centre-Right Autonomous Veneto (Nuovo Centrodestra Veneto Autonomo)
- Union of the Centre (Unione di Centro)
- Italy of Values (Italia dei Valori)
Minor parties
Between 1% and 4% in the 2010 regional election (or at least 1 regional councillor):
- Popular Future (Futuro Popolare)
- Veneto First (Prima il Veneto)
- Toward North (Verso Nord)
- Five Star Movement (Movimento Cinque Stelle)
- Venetian Left (Sinistra Veneta)
- Federation of the Left (Federazione della Sinistra)
- Communist Refoundation Party (Partito della Rifondazione Comunista)
- Party of Italian Communists (Partito dei Comunisti Italiani)
- North-East Union (Unione NordEst)
- North-East Project (Progetto NordEst)
- Venetian Republic League (Liga Veneta Repubblica)
- Left Ecology Freedom (Sinistra Ecologia Libertà)
Other Venetist parties
Venetian nationalism is a regional political movement which arose in Veneto in the 1980s. Minor Venetist parties include:
- Venetian Independence (Indipendenza Veneta)
- Veneto State (Veneto Stato)
- Autonomous Veneto League (Liga Veneto Autonomo)
