List of fully sovereign states without FIFA membership

In this article, fully sovereign states without a football association represented in FIFA are enlisted. As of August 2013, there were nine of them.

Country Comments
 Federated States of Micronesia Member of the FIFA Small Nations Working Group.[1] The 4 states of Micronesia have their own teams: Pohnpei, Chuuk, Yap and Kosrae.
 Kiribati Kiribati is only a member of the Oceania Football Confederation.
 Marshall Islands The team has only played 14 unofficial matches as of 2014. The only state without official recorded national team activity.
 Monaco The Monegasque Football Federation was one of the founder members of the NF-Board in 2001, but resigned from the organization in 2010.[2]
 Nauru Nauru is neither a FIFA member nor an OFC member and as of 2013 it has only played one unofficial friendly, in 1994 (2–1 win against selection of Solomon Islanders working in Nauru).
 Palau In 2013, the Palau Football Association confirmed its intention to apply for membership of the East Asian Football Federation.[3]
 Tuvalu Tuvalu is only a member of the Oceania Football Confederation. It has applied for FIFA membership.
 United Kingdom There has never been a "United Kingdom national football team" participating in recognized internationals, although three friendly matches have been played under this name. A team representing the entire United Kingdom has only ever competed in the Olympic Games (most recently in the 2012 Games) under the name "Great Britain"; otherwise, the UK is represented by separate teams for each of its constituent countries.
  Vatican City As of May 2014, the Vatican City national football team has only played five international matches.
