List of fictional cats in video games

This is an incomplete list that may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries.

This list of fictional cats and other felines is subsidiary to the list of fictional cats. It is restricted solely to notable feline characters from notable video games and does not apply to Catgirls which are listed in List of nekomimi wearers. For characters that appear in several games, only the earliest title will be recorded here.

Big is laid-back[1] and easygoing, which is reflected in his speech.[2] Strong but gentle[2] and a little slow,[3] he lives a normally peaceful life in the jungle with his best friend "Froggy".[2] He loves fishing, and he is never without his favorite rod and lure.[1]
Blanca, Rover Animal Crossing Nintendo GameCube Blanca (あやしいねこ, Ayashīneko, Suspicious Cat) is a recurring character of the Animal Crossing series. She is a white cat who oddly does not have a face, so she will ask the player to draw on her face to create one. In the Japanese version, she is confirmed as a male, due to having no masculine or feminine features.

Rover (みしらぬネコ, Mishiranuneko, Stranger Cat) is also a recurring character of the Animal Crossing series. Although his role varies in each game, his job primarily is to set up the character's time, date, gender and appearance and setting house a for him/her by asking his friend, Tom Nook. His name is related towards dogs, but is meant to come from roaming, as he is a traveler.

Blaze the CatSonic RushNintendo DSHas been appointed as defender of the Sol Emeralds;[4] her role is similar to that of Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna combined.[5] She is portrayed as calm and levelheaded, hiding her true feelings.[6]
BlinxBlinx: The Time SweeperXboxA young Time Sweeper who is voiced by RZA of Blinx the Time Sweeper. He's featured as a support character in Blinx 2. His enemies mostly include Andre 3000 and the Rangle shi duke.
Captain ClawClawPCAn anthropomorphic cat pirate, who must defeat the Cocker Spaniard Armada.[7]
Cait SithFinal Fantasy VIIPlayStationCait Sith (ケット・シー Ketto Shī, pronounced Kett Shee)[8] is a robotic talking cat who is friendly, but often unreliable[9] and speaks with a Scottish accent. In Final Fantasy VII, he rides on the back of an unnamed robotic moogle.
Freddy the CatAlley CatMS-DOSAn alley cat whose object is to perform certain tasks within the homes of people in order to reach to his love Felicia.
KayLegend of KayNintendo DS, PlayStation 2A cat who studies martial arts, but when his school is shut down, he goes on a mission to rid the evil rulers' stranglehold on his village and all of Yenching.
Link the Cat The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Nintendo Wii, Nintendo GameCube Link the Cat is a cat and character of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He is the cat of Sera, a shopkeeper in Ordon Village who owns Sera's Sundries. The cat always has the name of the player; if Link is given a different name registration, the cat is given the same changed name. Interestingly, while Sera has six photos in her shop, only two of them are of her daughter Beth, while the other four are all of Link the Cat. He originally ran away from Sera, until Link catches a fish which he allows the cat to steal, which causes it to come back; it is then seen on lapping milk from a bowl at the counter of the shop. Link can also converse with Link the Cat in his wolf form.
MyauPhantasy StarGame Boy Advance, Master System, Mega Drive, PlayStation 2, Sega Saturn, Virtual ConsoleMyau (ミャウ) is an intelligent, talking, cat-like creature called a Musk Cat. Alis meets him in a pet store on Motavia, where the owner is trying to sell the Musk Cat for an exorbitant amount of money, but instead trades him in exchange for a valuable Laconian pot from Alis. Myau is on a mission to save his friend Odin, who has been turned to stone by the creature Medusa. He has the medicine to cure Odin, but cannot open the bottle (for he has no fingers) and so requests Alis' help to save him. Myau uses claws as weapons, can use stronger curative magic than Alis, and can disarm traps in dungeons. Musk Cats also have an interesting "reaction" to the Laerma nuts found on Dezoris, a fact which makes Myau even more valuable.
MaoShadow Hearts: From The New WorldPlayStation 2 Mao (マオ): Frank's master and good friend of Al Capone, Mao is most notable for being a giant talking cat with a penchant for alcohol. Out of all the main characters, only Johnny expresses finding this at all crazy. She tolerates little foolishness, especially from her former student, but can be compassionate and wise when it is called for. She also harbors a secret desire to be a movie star; her side quest actually revolves around her making a film in which she fights her way through a five-story pagoda against other giant felines who are parodies of famous action stars, such as Sammo Meow and Cat Morita, this is also the second reference to the film Game of Death within the series. Mao's element is Water, and she uses flasks of alcohol to fuel her Drunken Fist-style of fighting.
Spitz WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames! Game Boy Advance  Gamecube  Virtual Console An anthropomorphic yellow cat who is about the same size as Kat & Ana. He is always squinting, and he wears goggles (pushed up over his forehead) and a blue jumpsuit which seems to be too big for him. He's good at jumping and he is rather more intelligent than Dribble, though he didn't remember to collect the large fare in Mega Microgame$. He also likes to play, as in the WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$ instruction manual, he encourages Dribble to stop working and play a round of games with him.
Willy Rockin' Kats NES A rising young jazz cat in New York City who goes by the stage name of "The Rockin' Kat".
