All dates are listed according to UTC time. A fairly active year, with Greece, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands experiencing many large events. In spite of this the death toll was relatively low.

A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck east of South Pagai, Indonesia on July 1 at a depth of 35.0 km.[42]
An earthquake struck central Sumatra, Indonesia on July 5. The magnitude and depth were unknown. At least 101 deaths were caused as well as the destruction of some homes.[43]
A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck the Molucca Sea, Indonesia on July 10 at a depth of 35.0 km.[44]

An earthquake struck Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 12. The magnitude and depth were unknown. Damage was caused with costs reaching $1.1 million (1926 rate).[68]

A pair of magnitude 6.1 earthquakes struck Monterey Bay, California on October 22 at a depth of 35.0 km. The quakes occurred within an hour of each other.[70]
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Kars Province, Turkey on October 22 at a depth of 7.0 km. The shallow depth perhaps contributed to a death toll of 360. Major damage was caused in the area.[71]
A magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck Papua (province), Indonesia on October 26 at a depth of 35.0 km.[72]
A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck the Bohol Sea, Philippines on October 30 at a depth of 520.0 km.[73]
- A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck southwest of Vancouver Island, Canada on October 30 at a depth of 35.0 km.[74] This came 6 hours after the Philippines event. This was a foreshock to a larger event on November 1.

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck Leon Department, Nicaragua on November 5 at a depth of 35.0 km.[76] Heavy damage was caused.[77]
A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Yunnan Province, China on November 22 at an unknown depth. At least 101 people died and some homes were destroyed.[78]
