This article is a list of countries by the number of road motor vehicles per 1000 inhabitants. Please consider that car is different from road motor vehicle as the latter includes automobiles, SUVs, trucks, vans, buses, commercial vehicles and freight motor road vehicles. The present list excludes motorcycles and other two-wheelers.
