List of countries by credit rating

This is a list of countries by credit rating, showing long-term foreign currency credit ratings for sovereign bonds as reported by the three major credit rating agencies: Standard & Poor's, Fitch, and Moody's. The ratings of DBRS, China Chengxin Credit Rating Group, Dagong and JCR are also included. The list also includes all country subdivisions issuing sovereign bonds, but it excludes regions, provinces and municipalities issuing sub-sovereign bonds.

Standard & Poors

For S&P, a bond is considered investment grade if its credit rating is BBB- or higher. Bonds rated BB+ and below are considered to be speculative grade, sometimes also referred to as "junk" bonds.[3]

Dagong is a credit rating agency based in China. It is one of the few notable non-US based credit rating agencies.

China Chengxin

China Chengxin Credit Rating Group was found in 1992 through the incorporation of China Chengxin Credit Management Co Ltd, which is the first nation-wide credit rating company of China. China Chengxin Credit Rating Group released the sovereign credit rating report for 30 countries first time in July 2012.[65]
