Nielsen's compositions are usually arranged using the 1965 catalogue compiled by Dan Fog and Torben Schousboe.[2] The Fog Catalogue is arranged roughly in chronological order (according to their publication) for numbers below 161, except the two compositions Canto serioso (FS 132) and Græshoppen sidder paa Engen (FS 161). Numbers higher than 161 were assigned in connection with the publication of a Nielsen CD in 1998 of compositions discovered after 1965.
