Episode # Title Story
Kosuke Ueki's Law of Righteousness The episode starts off with Kosuke Ueki cleaning up the park. His classmate, Ai Mori, is suspicious that Ueki is an alien. When a tough gang threatens Ueki, he takes a broken part of his broom and turns it into a tree—this confirms Mori's suspicions. Ueki has the ability to change trash into trees, a gift bestowed upon him by his teacher, Kobayashi. Kobayashi, nicknamed Mr. K (Kobasen in the Japanese version), is part of a grand tournament to decide the next God, but before Ueki can officially be declared Mr. K's fighter, the middle school student must first demonstrate his own sense of justice. Mr. K is a Celestial King from heaven, or God's helper. The person who receives the power is called a 'Power User'. Also, each time Ueki uses his powers against a non-power user, he will lose an ability (or a Zai in the Japanese version).
The Law of the Battle Commencement!! Mori has decided to help Ueki, but realizes there are other competitors challenging him. Two power users cross their paths. One is Seiichiro Sano, a decent type, with the ability to turn towels into steel, whom they met while trying to rescue a small girl from a fall. Another is Mauro Taira, a less than decent individual, who has no problem attacking from behind. He has the ability to turn water in his mouth into fire. Ueki notices that he can make trees into any type he wants, this time using a chestnut tree so the chestnuts on fire can purposely hit Mauro and burn him (although he wanted to eat them).

When Mauro ran out of water and Ueki could win, Mauro's god candidate Lafferty gives him a refrigerator full of bottled water. Sano then comes and protects Ueki with his steel. Mauro, who eventually lost, was out of the game. Lafferty, who helped Mauro, was sent to Hell because she helped him, which was against the game rules.

The Law of Talent Toshio Asachi loves to run, but has no talent for it. His god candidate tells him that if he beats Ueki (who is the fastest runner in the school but never beat the school record because he had to use the bathroom) he will get the running ability. Toshio has trouble catching up to Ueki but eventually tells him that the course is the other way, leading him up the stairs to a temple with a wide enough front to fight. Toshio's ability is to make cotton into stakes. Mori tries to help by interfering the battle (if Toshio hits her by accident, he will lose an ability) but is trapped with stakes around her. In the end, Ueki wins and doesn't lose an ability. When Toshio's instructor comes for him, he tells Toshio that he sucks at running and to give up. Ueki, being a kind person and likes to encourage other people becomes angry and squishes his face with two large branches or small trees, which makes him lose the ability to run. Mori tells him that now he sucks at running and will never be good again but Ueki tells her, if he keeps on trying his hardest, he'll eventually become as fast as he was before, maybe even faster.
The Law of Li Ho, The Man of Physical Skills Mori is determined to learn more about this tournament so when the opportunity arrives to gain such information from Mr. K, she leaps at the chance. During their talks they are interrupted by another power user. Unlike Ueki’s previous opponents, though, this one is different. Li Ho prefers to use his own body to fight rather than his given ability. When Li Ho starts smashing Ueki’s trees with his bare hands, not even the sarcastic talent can help our hero. Li Ho unleashes his most powerful attack: The Count of Monte Cristo, which Ueki manages to stop by grabbing Li Ho's shoulders, so he cannot move his arms.
The Law of Robert Haydn, the Strongest Power User With another win and another talent under his belt, Ueki is able to relax for a little bit. When traveling by train one day, he meets Junichi Baba, nicknamed B.J., a hip-hop enthusiast who takes an immediate liking to Ueki. So why does he also say his name is Robert Haydn when he discovers that Ueki is also a power user? Fortunately, B.J.'s ability to turn coins into wind is not enough to stop Ueki. The two part on friendly terms, but when the real Robert Haydn shows up, what will happen to Ueki’s new friend?
The Law of Farewell Mr. K forbids Ueki from challenging Robert Haydn, telling him that he is just too strong for Ueki. When Ueki hears that Robert has viciously attacked B.J., though, he just gets angry and becomes determined to challenge him. The two meet and Mr. K's words were correct. Robert is able to deflect every attack Ueki sends at him with his bubbles. Ueki is about to pay the ultimate price for his foolishness, but luckily Mr. K steps in with a last second rescue. But aren’t God Candidates forbidden from helping their chosen?
The Law of Mr. K With Mr. K sent to the underworld, Ueki isn’t sure what he should be doing anymore. In search of answers he goes to Mr. K's home where he finds an interesting file on his computer. It seems Mr. K has been paying close attention to Ueki, making note of every kind act the boy does. Understanding the faith that his God Candidate had in him, Ueki is determined more than ever to win this tournament and keep the Talent of Blank away from those that would abuse the power. With a new God Candidate, Yodogawa (nicknamed Yo-chan) backing him, Ueki takes on the next challenge: Bolo T, a power user with the ability to turn his forehead into diamonds.
Fair and Square! The Law of Onimon During a run-in with some bullies, Ueki and Mori meet Monjiro Oniyama, nicknamed Onimon, a very strong fighter with a sense of fair play. It turns out that he is also a power user with the ability to turn the dirt he kicks into cannonballs. Clearly outmatched by Onimon’s 299 talents, Ueki is at a disadvantage in this fight. Worst of all, Onimon is not a bad guy, only wanting the Talent of Blank in order to restore his home village to its former glory. Will Ueki be able to muster up enough determination to beat Onimon and his philosophy of "fair and square" fighting?
The Law of Training Under Onimon If Ueki defeated Onimon, why is he still trying to pick a fight with our hero? With the tournament behind him, Onimon comes with a warning to Ueki: beware the Black Shadow. With Onimon’s help, Ueki learns about a strategy he can use against this new threat. When Ueki finally does meet up with the Black Shadow, Onimon’s training seems to work. Yet with the ability to turn his own shadows into clay men, how can Ueki be sure he is even fighting the real Black Shadow?
The Law of Non-Rewarding Justice No matter how many clay men Ueki takes down, they just keep coming. Despite these overwhelming odds, Ueki still fights Kuroki Kagedan, nicknamed the Black Shadow. When he learns about the horrible event that lead to him joining the Robert’s Ten, Ueki is determined to get through to him. Hoping to convey his own sense of justice, Ueki slowly reaches him. When the two finally start to fight on equal terms, another gifted shows up to put a stop to this fight by attacking the Black Shadow. But wait...isn’t this new gifted also a member of the Robert’s Ten?
The Law of the Robert's Ten Kamui Rosso, nicknamed the White Shadow, is Ueki’s opponent now and his ability to turn his own shadow into a robot that is hard to beat. Still, Ueki is able to pull off a victory in the end with some inventive tree manipulation. Now that Ueki has beaten a member of the Robert’s Ten, he gains their attention and is invited to join them. Not wanting to waste this opportunity to challenge Robert and his gifted allies, he accepts and heads to their headquarters. Upon meeting the Robert’s Ten, he immediately makes a bad impression and even manages to insult Robert himself. So much for infiltrating the enemy, eh, Ueki?
The Law of the Celestials For displeasing Robert, Ueki is tested. For three days he must stand with a large stone block on his back. If he can manage that, he is a member of the Robert’s Ten. Meanwhile, some new information is found out about Ueki. Mori discovers that Ueki was actually adopted and Mr. K finds out that Ueki is actually a heavenly being sent to Earth as a baby. While this is certainly useful information, it doesn’t help Ueki now that he has revealed his true intentions to Alessio Juliano who possesses the ability to turn dirt into scythes.
The Law of the Celestial Beast Just when Ueki and Alessio's fight gets started, a large fox-like beast, later given the name Tenko, erupts from the ground. Apparently it's a heavenly creature that was in search of Ueki in order to eat him. Upon meeting Ueki, though, the monster is unimpressed. The kid hasn't even awaken any of his sacred weapons. Yet Ueki lives to do the impossible and manages to not only gain one, but two of sacred weapons within a short time. The celestial beast seems impressed by this and agrees to help our hero despite his hatred for the celestials that have treated him so poorly.
The Law of the Awakening Chamber Ueki returns to the hideout of Robert's Ten and tries to trick them with a lie about Alessio's whereabouts, but the lie doesn't last long. Just as he blurts out the truth that he defeated Alessio, Don grabs him by the head and races off. Ueki shows off his new-found power by smashing a rock with the first star sacred weapon, Kurogane, but Don uses his ability to turn a ring into a rocket and obliterates a large chunk of the landscape. Ueki is no match for this strong opponent, but luckily Tenko has a method for Ueki to get stronger. However, he might die if it doesn't work out.
The Law of Rinko Upon defeating Don, Ueki is challenged by two more gifted: Marco Maldini who can turn tomatoes into magma and Rinko Jerrard who can turn beads into bombs. Is an already tired Ueki up to the challenge of facing two strong opponents at once? But Rinko takes notice of Ueki's selflessness and begins to wonder what kind of people she has been surrounding herself with. Could it be that Ueki just might find a new ally among Robert's Ten?
The Law of Neo, the New Celestial Ueki is completely worn out after fighting four of the Robert's Ten. Tenko and Rinko do their best to give Ueki some time to heal, but the remaining ten aren't making it easy on them. Ogre with his power to turn a bamboo sword into hedge clippers and Becky Wolf with her ability to turn BB bullets into meteorites try to get past Tenko's barrier, but it takes Taro Myojin's ability to turn his whistles into laser beams to break through. With Tenko and Rinko out of the fight, it is up to a revived Ueki to set things right. But what surprises will Myojin have for our hero?
The Law of Two Powers Myojin has a little secret he's been keeping from the rest of the Robert's Ten. Aside from his ability to turn his whistles into laser beams, he has another ability: to turn cards into saws. Forcing Ueki into a situation where he has to put himself into the direct path of Myojin's laser beams, the cheating power user has the upper hand. But Ueki has never been the type to give up easily and discovers a method of attack that wins the fight. With nine of the Robert's Ten defeated, it would seem Ueki has earned a well-deserved rest. Unfortunately, a plea from Inumaru (nicknamed Wanko), the God Candidate sponsoring Sano, puts him back into the thick of things.
The Law of Bloodcurdling Dogura Mansion! Ueki is invited to a party hosted by Robert Haydn, but Rinko isn't too happy about Ueki attending. Still, the group goes and meets the remaining members of the Robert's Ten...including Seiichiro Sano, the man Ueki is intent on saving. Robert intends to have the two groups fight with the possibility of winning a special request from Robert. The first fight is Ueki versus Yunpao, a power user with the ability to turn electricity into...sugar? Sounds ridiculous, but Ueki isn't ready for just how effective this ability actually is.
The Law of the Cossack Dance Ueki finally finds out about Yunpao's weakness and goes on the attack. With one win on their side, it's Mori's turn to fight. Wait...she doesn't have any powers. How can she hope to defend herself? Her opponent is Kabara, a very talented hunter with the power to turn a cape into wings. With plenty of ammunition and expert marksmanship, it seems like a lopsided fight. Luckily, what Mori lacks in power she more than makes up for in cunning and intelligence.
The Law of Cat and Mouse It's Rinko versus Kabara, and they fight in the...cat field? The objective is to get the opponent to get eaten by a cat, and to do that, they have to turn into a mouse! Slap the cat's nose and they become a mouse! Kabara seems to have the advantage in this one thanks to his ability to fly, but Rinko has a few tricks up her sleeves: some new weapons and a...love of animals?
The Law of Seiichiro Sano Ueki is up against none other than Seiichiro Sano, the power user he was trying to save in the jump rope field. But does Sano really want to be saved? Whatever the case, he isn't cutting Ueki any slack when he goes right into attack mode. With Sano countering every attack Ueki sends his way, our hero is going to have to get creative in order to win this battle. As it turns out, this is what Sano wanted from the beginning. So whose side is our towel user really on? What secret is he hiding from Ueki and his friends?
The Law of Inumaru Sano joined the Robert's Ten for a very specific reason: to rescue Wanko from a devious attack by Carl P. Accio, nicknamed Carpaccio. Using a Death Pentagon, an insect that can instantly kill a heavenly being, Carpaccio forced Sano either to join or to watch his God Candidate die. But Wanko's sense of justice won't stand for these conditions. He breaks the cardinal rule of this tournament: a God Candidate can only grant powers to one individual. When he gives Mori a power of her own, he is instantly sent to the underworld, freeing Sano of the grasp of the Robert's Ten. Of course this only serves to infuriate Ueki even more. With a challenge made to Carpaccio, a new fight begins. But Carpaccio has a surprise: his talent is to copy the power of other gifted. With all the power of the Robert's Ten at his disposal, Ueki is in for a tough fight.
The Law of Ueki Versus the Robert's Ten Carpaccio may have the use of the powers of the Robert's Ten, but that isn't advantage enough to defeat Ueki. With the sixth star sacred weapon, Raika, at his disposal Ueki is running circles around Carpaccio. Yet this vile gifted has a few more tricks to pull. He has two more unknown powers no one has seen yet: the ability to receive the opponent's thoughts via text messages and the ability to change positions with the opponent. Ueki is seemingly overwhelmed at this turn of events, but with some help from Tenko, he comes up with a plan that gives him the win. So now with three wins, Ueki and friends win the challenge (and some pretty cheesy prizes), but Ueki wants more: a fight with Robert! After two consecutive, grueling fights, is Ueki up for this?
The Law of Young Robert Ueki finally has his rematch with Robert and thanks to Rinko, he even gets an insight into Robert's tragic past. Yet this doesn't stop Ueki from wanting to fight the leader of the Robert's Ten. Unfortunately for Ueki, Robert reveals the true nature of his power: the ability to turn any ideal into a reality. With such an unlimited power at his disposal, Robert is able to strengthen his own sacred weapons so that Ueki is no match for him. Robert calls this the second level of sacred weapons. Always up for the challenge, Ueki finds his own second level: the ability to summon more than one sacred weapon at a time. Will Ueki's new-found power and justice be enough to defeat the all-powerful Robert?
Resurrection! The Law of Mr. K Ueki's sense of justice won't let anyone down, even his enemies. But when Ueki shows kindness to Robert, the act does nothing to warm him over. If nothing else, it just motivates him to further his attacks on our hero. So when Ueki looks like he is down for the count, it is up to Sano and Rinko to take on Robert. With a surprising display of teamwork, the two of them show Robert how powerful friendship truly is, but Robert's twisted ideals prove too much for even them. Somehow Ueki finds the strength to push on, standing up after the beating he already took. Yet no matter what Ueki does to Robert, the villain won't give up, either. Only an unexpected ally can put an end to this fight. But why is he here? Wasn't he supposed to be in the underworld?
Terror! The Law of Hanon Mr. K is back from the underworld on a mission from God. It seems that the tournament is split in two parts and the first part has officially ended; next comes the group battles. A cease fire has been declared and some good news has been delivered: Mr. K and Inumaru can be God Candidates again! While Ueki and friends recover, an introspective Robert starts to wonder about his own motives. A talk with his "father" clarifies things, introducing the new threat of Anon, a very talented celestial who is Margarette's true son. What? But what about Robert? And who exactly is this Hanon and why does he have such an interest in Ueki?
The Law of Hideyoshi When discussing the latest developments with Robert, the group is met by God's aide who explains the rules of the upcoming team tournament. Wanting another member, they go in search of a gifted power user by the name of Hideyoshi Soya. He is a power user who has the ability to change his voice into a portrait, but he prefers trickery over fighting. Surprised by what they find, they follow him back to the House of the Sun, where Hideyoshi helps take care of a group of children. It turns out that Ueki and Mori aren't the first to ask him to join a team. Hideyoshi's God Candidate has a nasty group in mind, but Hideyoshi refuses, choosing to stay with the kids instead. But when one of those wicked power users steal away with Kentaro, one of the residents of the House of the Sun, Ueki and Hideyoshi run off to get him back! Ueki may be tough, but how will the sneaky Hideyoshi fare in an actual fight?
The Law of the House of the Sun Zack, the God Candidate sponsoring Hideyoshi, has a gang of power users that want to destroy the House of the Sun so that Hideyoshi won't have a reason not to join anymore. But when Hideyoshi shows up, the plan has to change. The lying power user does his best to avoid the attacks of Mario, with the ability to change his body into a giant billiards ball, and Capucho, with the ability to change his voice into a freezing gas. However, he succumbs to their onslaught and leaves the House of the Sun unguarded. Lying on the ground, Hideyoshi suddenly remembers his former God Candidate, a kindly man who just wanted to help humans out. Fortunately, Ueki makes it just in time to stop the house from being destroyed, but our hero is outnumbered three to one. It seems that Capucho has a nasty little trick up his sleeve: his ability of changing his voice into a freezing gas has a second level that completely freezes something and allows him to smash it easily. Is Ueki up for the challenge or will Mori be picking up little frozen pieces of our favorite celestial?
Don't Die! The Law of Tenko Tenko is grateful to Ueki. He has given him friendship, a purpose and treasured memories. But Tenko has a secret: if he raises Ueki to the ninth star level, Tenko will die. Tenko knows that if he tells Ueki this he will refuse to reach the ninth star level. However, Tenko knows that Ueki has to get stronger to face his opponents. Unsure about what to do, Tenko decides to give his life for Ueki's quest to become stronger. After all, it was the first time in a long while that Tenko has felt needed and he appreciates it so much. When Mori finds out about this secret, she rushes off to stop Tenko from raising Ueki to the next level, but it is too late: Ueki is already inside of the awakening chamber and he can't hear Mori from the outside. Will Ueki lose another precious friend in the name of this celestial tournament?
The Law of the Third Round Ueki and friends are ready to start the team tournament stage. They make way to the celestial world where they meet four other teams of power users whom they are meant to battle. God makes an appearance to tell the teams the rules for this stage of the tournament and with his usual penchant for eccentricities, starts off with a treasure hunting battle by sending the two teams to their destination via a heavenly pachinko method. Ueki's Team is going to be up against the Grano Team. Right from the start, Ueki is up against Guitar, a music loving guy in a full black suit. Guitar has the ability to change his voice into a shockwave...or so he says. Ueki attacks him with everything he has, but Guitar just shakes off the attacks, claiming to be invulnerable. How will Ueki be able to defeat someone he can't even hurt?
The Law of the Strongest Tag Team With one win, Team Ueki looks optimistic, but a new challenge awaits the group. This time around, Sano and Rinko will have to face a pair of power users that make use of each other's abilities to defeat opponents. Munin can turn stupid puns into reality when the opponent laughs, and Pastello can turn any line drawing into a portal which he uses to tickle the intended opponent. Sano and Rinko are competent on their own, but lately they've been getting on each other's nerves. Can Sano look past Rinko's carefulness? Can Rinko look past Sano's carelessness? If they want to win this battle, they will have to find a way to look past each other's flaws and work together as a team.
The Law of True Strength! Ueki talks with Pecol who wishes to be strong just like Ueki. Inspired by Ueki's defeat of Guitar, he decides to quit working with Grano. When he confronts his teammate about this, though, Pecol is verbally deflated and submits to Grano's whims. With the ability to turn models into the real objects, Grano summons a giant robot to combat Ueki. With no robot of his own, Ueki must rely on his own abilities. With a bit of ingenuity, Ueki knocks down the first robot, but Grano summons another more powerful machine. How can Ueki keep fighting someone who can create an endless supply of powerful opponents?
Clash! The Law of Ueki Vs Li Ho Ueki's team has just walked away from their first win, but their next opponent has just finished their match with a win in five minutes! Too bad they completely missed seeing it. While Ueki quietly ponders this, Li Ho shows up with a challenge: if Ueki can remain standing until the setting sun goes down, he will concede Ueki's chances at victory in the upcoming match against Team Marilyn. Ueki starts to attack, but Li Ho is able to deflect everything thrown at him. Still not relying on his gifted power, Li Ho has developed some new attacks using his own inner power. When Ueki uses his pick, Li Ho knocks it aside; when Ueki fires his Kurogane, Li Ho stops it in mid-air. Li Ho reveals his secret to Ueki about channeling his own inner power, a trick that Ueki soon mimics. But is this sudden power too much for Ueki? Can he truly handle this new technique against someone who has mastered it?
The Law of Team Marilyn While the team is getting ready to face Team Marilyn, Yo-chan is visiting the underworld to talk with Mr. K and Wanko. Returning with a message encouraging the group, Team Ueki gets fired up for their next battle. They fight in Gentle Ghost Town, a deserted area inhabited by ghosts. Each team member is given a pendant to wear that is given certain point values. Each team has to take the pendants from their opponents in order to win. While exploring their battle area, Team Ueki is surprised to find that Team Marilyn has already established a plan of attack. Poorly prepared for their opponents' resourcefulness, Team Ueki falls prey to their battle strategy and quickly lose Rinko in the process! Making a quick escape, Ueki tells his teammates to go on without him. Facing Team Marilyn on his own, Ueki tries to buy his friends time to come up with their own plan of attack, but how will Ueki fare against tried combatants like Team Marilyn?
The Law of "You Tricked Me!" Ueki's strategy of stalling for time has been found out and it greatly amuses Team Marilyn that Ueki would think of such a thing. Revealing their history of growing up on the battlefield, Ueki finally understands just how combative these opponents are. Leaving Baron to deal with Ueki, the other Team Marilyn members give chase to the remaining members of Team Ueki. Ueki tries to follow, but Baron doesn't let him. Determined to keep his opponent busy, Baron attacks Ueki with his close combat knife fighting, a specialty of his. It is quickly revealed that Baron's knife is more useful than it appears; Baron's power is to transport himself to wherever his knife is, an ability that leaves little maneuverability for Ueki. When Ueki adjusts his fighting style to combat this ability, Baron reveals his level two ability: to stop both his opponent and himself in their tracks if he transports himself within one meter of the opponent. Forced with a close combat battle, can Ueki come up with a usable strategy to grab victory before Baron does?
The Law of the Proof of Friendship While Ueki is busy trying to get back to his teammates, Sano, Mori, and Hideyoshi face the remaining members of Team Marilyn. Being the only fighter with offensive capabilities, Sano decides it is up to him to protect the others. He seems to be doing fine, but it is a last second rescue by Mori that shows him he can depend on his friends for support. Using their own strategies, they are able to counter many traps of Putting (with the ability to change his mouth into a fourth-dimensional portal) and Memory (with the ability to make her blueprints into completed objects) and even set a few of their own. This ends with Team Marilyn losing Putting. Faced with dwindling numbers, they choose this moment to reveal Matthew's hidden power: the ability to change his two arms into six arms, all of which have rapid fire guns! Sano manages to protect his teammates from the brunt of his attacks, but Marilyn is back and looking to put an end to their resistance. Will Ueki make it in time to help his friends or will they all end up in the care of gentle ghosts like Rinko did?
The Law of the Weakness of the Sacred Weapons Sano, Mori, and Hideyoshi are facing the remaining members of Team Marilyn. Sano is doing his best to protect his friends, leaving Hideyoshi with a chance to escape. Hideyoshi jumps at the chance, but a moment from the past reminds him that even he can overcome his own cowardice. Distracting Team Marilyn, the three of them escape only to be ensnared once again by Marilyn. With Hideyoshi out of the battle, Marilyn tells them how hopeless their situation is, explaining how Ueki won't even be able to save them. However, Ueki lives to do the impossible and manages to come just in time to save Sano from a lethal blow. Proving that his sacred treasures aren't as weak as others think they are, Team Ueki is ready to fight on, but who should interrupt but God himself! He reveals the bearers of the ten point necklaces: Marilyn for Team Marilyn and Mori for Team Ueki. Everyone splits up, but how will Team Ueki fare against the well trained Team Marilyn without the benefit of teamwork?
The Law of Sano's Awakening!! Ueki is left to face Marilyn, who can dodge every single attack Ueki throws at her. After some careful testing, Ueki discovers she has the ability to stretch one second into ten seconds, thus being able to attack and move at seemingly rapid speeds. Marilyn is quick to display how advantageous this power truly is on an unfortunate Ueki. Meanwhile, Sano is left to face he of the six arms, Matthew. No matter what Sano throws at Matthew, it is all shot down. Matthew goes so far as to claim Sano's power to be completely worthless. But Sano thinks otherwise; this power is a special power from his God Candidate, Wanko. Wishing he could be stronger to make better use of this power, he discovers his second level: the power to turn his iron into a powerful magnet. Matthew's bullets and guns are no more the advantage they were. Unfortunately, he has an ace up the hole using six brass batons. With an uncanny close range fighting ability, Matthew relentlessly attacks Sano. How will his new-found second level help in this situation?
The Law of the Closed Heart Marilyn continues her assault on Ueki, leaving him no chance for defense. No matter what Ueki tries in terms of strategy, Marilyn's ability to turn one second into ten seconds is too much of an advantage. But Ueki has been watching her and notices that she, too, has her weaknesses. Noticing her reliance on practiced fighting patterns, Ueki comes up with a plan to counter her moves. When he has his chance to counter, he stops, noticing tears coming from Marilyn's eyes. Ueki realizes that she truly doesn't want to fight and refuses to go on with this battle. This infuriates Marilyn, forcing her to make use of her level two: the ability to double her attack power. Still, Ueki refuses to fight, prompting childhood memories in Marilyn, memories she would rather forget. Will Marilyn's past reveal a truth about herself she wasn't able to face? Or will she force herself to fight once again and continue her attack on Ueki?
The Law of Wonderful Love Mori faces Memory all by herself. Still unsure of her power, she tries to bluff for time while waiting for her teammates. Unfortunately, Sano can't hear her cries for help and Ueki just passed out! Left on her own, Mori can only run away from the battle-experienced Memory. Mori tries desperately to solve the mystery of her power, trying out every idea that pops in her head. It is only when she is close to defeat does she figure what it is: the power to make her opponent a lover of eyeglasses! With Memory completely enthralled by Mori's glasses, she has no choice but to do what she says before Mori breaks her beloved eyeglasses and this includes knocking herself out! Team Ueki wins! The team recuperates, even getting a visit from Marilyn. The next day, Team Ueki gets ready to face Team Capucho, but before they can show up, Hanon stands in their way determined to keep them from their appointed fight. He refuses to let Ueki face weak opponents and decides to take them on himself. Are Ueki and his friends up to the challenge of the all-powerful Hanon?
The Law of the Real and Fake Ueki and his team are sore about Hanon ambushing them before their fight with Team Capucho, and they aren't the only ones, but they choose not to dwell on the situation. Instead, they get some time to relax at home on Earth. Ueki heads back to his home and finally reveals everything that is going on about him being from the celestial world and his current fight for the next celestial king. Ueki's family, being the strange ducks they are, take everything in stride, especially when they see Tenko appear from Ueki's arm. Upon returning to the celestial world, Ueki has a run-in with his real father. Inviting him to their room unknowing of his connection to him, Ueki and his friends are determined to make the old man act social. Ueki's father finds himself at odds. He is uncomfortable around Ueki, but secretly wants to know if he is still important to his son. He asks if he prefers the real or the fake, a question Ueki's adoptive father asked earlier. Ueki's reply is that he prefers the real, adding that his adoptive father is the real one in his eyes. Ueki's father feels a bit deflated at this, but understanding. He decides that he doesn't have a place in Ueki's life anymore, but he leaves Ueki with a parting gift: the secret to the second level. Will Ueki be able to make good use of this advice for the upcoming fight against Team Ballow?
The Law of Team Barrow Against Team Barrow, Rinko goes first. Her opponent is Van Decout, but Tenko notices something odd about him: he is a celestial! In fact, all of Team Barrow are celestials. They were all brought together for this tournament in order to support Hanon and Margarette's wish to become the next celestial king. Like Ueki, Van is able to make use of the sacred weapons, but something is different about these weapons that force Rinko to hold back her attacks. It seems that Van's power is to change inanimate objects into living things. However, they come out looking like cute, adorable faces that Rinko can't bring herself to hit! Rinko has no choice but to take the abuse rather than fight back, but when Van starts verbally abusing her, she snaps! Using a specifically designed glove, she is able to create a slap with enormous power, smacking both Ban and his adorable Pick into submission. Returning to her frightened friends victorious, she retains no knowledge of her strange transformation. Next up is Sano who faces Diegostar. It quickly becomes apparent that he has the ability to make objects invisible, mainly using his sacred weapons, making it impossible for Sano to see the oncoming attacks. Sano tries to outsmart his opponent, but Diegostar is no slouch in the brains department, either. How can Sano hope to overcome this manly opponent?
The Law of the Cutesy Pose Sano took Diegostar's advice to heart and came up with a plan to defeat him. By making a magnetic track, Sano propelled himself towards a trapped Diegostar at incredible speeds and rammed him head on. Still, Diegostar was able to grasp victory by a powerful bluff while Sano was in the null power area. Now the games are tied one to one. Next up is Mori versus Kill Norton, he of the IQ of 179. Mori is freaking out about how to get him to do the cutesy pose, but thanks to Hideyoshi, Mori tricks him! The problem is that Kill Norton has already planned for everything, refusing to knock himself out because it would damage his own eyeglasses. Now Mori has to work even harder for a win. After accidentally destroying both pairs of eyeglasses, Mori surprises everyone by revealing a backpack full of fake eyeglasses from the Hundred Yen Store. Mori threatens to break them all with a huge rock if Kill Norton doesn't use his head as a shield. Luckily, Kill Norton's IQ is no match for Mori's cunning! Next up is Barrow versus an already tired and injured Sano. Sano knows he can't do much, but he promises to get Barrow to reveal his power. He succeeds, but Barrow has no intention of allowing Sano to tell his friends what it is and cruelly knocks him out, angering Ueki. The two are next to meet, but a shocking bit of information from Tenko reveals that Ueki is going into this fight severely handicapped: Ueki is now a zeroth star celestial!
The Law of Ueki's Level 2! Angered by Barrow's attack on Sano, Ueki is ready for this fight. Problem is that he had all of his sacred weapons removed! It seems that Ueki's celestial father gave him some advice on reaching the second level. Ueki's problem is that he didn't fully master his power before obtaining his sacred weapons. With the two conflicting powers, Ueki isn't able to master his original power well enough to reach the second level. To do that, he has to get rid of his celestial powers and work from there. Ueki is determined to do this, fending off Barrow's multiple attacks with creative uses of changing trash into trees. Ueki still can't heads or tails off Barrow's power, until Sano wakes up and reveals Barrow's ability to make an image from the past to current reality, meaning any of his past attacks can come back at any moment. While Ueki contemplates this, a conversation between Mr. K and Wanko reveal that Ueki's power of changing trash into trees isn't normal like everyone else's. Ueki can continually reuse his power, changing trash to trees and back to trash. Mr. K reveals that if Ueki can master his second level power, it would completely change the course of the tournament. So just what could this mysterious power be?
The Law of the Past Attack Ueki has finally reached his second level power! He can now revert the powers of others back to their original state. If Barrow attacks with multiple visions made reality, Ueki can return them to simple past visions. Barrow's advantage is severely limited with this turn of events. Barrow realizes this and presses on, hoping to overwhelm Ueki before he can fully master this power, but as he does so, the past that wounds him so comes back to him. A long time ago, he lived peacefully with his mother, but due to an accident, he used his Kurogane on his mother. Resulting in a comatose state, Barrow tried desperately to awaken his mother with pictures, hoping they would reach her heart. Nothing seemed to work until one day burglars came to his home and tried to attack his mother. She finally awoke and saw Barrow with his Kurogane activated. The sight of it frightened her and made Barrow leave in a rush, running into Margarette and the future Team Barrow. Back to the present, Ueki manages to avoid all of Barrow's attacks before finally landing a powerful Pick. Barrow is down and Team Ueki win! God is watching this while his aide is furious for hiding the fact that an Infernal is taking part in the tournament. God chooses this time to explain how he came to create this tournament. He talks about the Guardian clan, the Infernals in the underworld wanting to take over the celestial world. It all started when he met a young girl on Earth named Haruko...Haruko Ueki.
The Law of King, the Maiden and the Future God continues telling his story of the past and the girl he met, Haruko Ueki. After saving her from the bullies, she tries to pay him back, first by force feeding him several plates of curry, then by a whole mess of other things. Eventually, God is able to escape, but not before he finds an elderly woman whose foot gets stuck in a railroad track. God knows that he can't interfere with life or death situations on earth, but just when it seems that the woman will die, Haruko jumps in and helps the woman. Seeing the girls determination, bravery, and optimism towards the future, God jumps in and saves them both. It is at this point that he makes the decision to start the tournament. After this, God decides to try and change the Infernals' hearts and turn them away from their plan to take over the celestial world. He goes to confront Margarette, who is in fact not Margarette at all, but an Infernal. Just like Robert, Margarette's body was taken over by an Infernal. It is also revealed that Haruko, the young girl that was inspiration for the tournament, was Ueki's adoptive mother. On this day, Ueki and the gang are celebrating, and Ueki has curry to commemorate his mother's death. Back with God, as he faces the Infernal Margarette, the two fight using their sacred weapons, but it is a draw. They finally pull out one last powerful sacred weapon: the tenth star sacred weapon, Satan. However, the episode ends without revealing exactly what Satan is.
The Law of Hanon the King The final round is approaching and everyone is contemplating the upcoming round. Ueki and Mori chitchat, and then he gives her his amulet, telling her she needs it more than he does. Hideyoshi sits on a cliff and comes to the conclusion that he is useless and a hindrance. And Rinko and Sano walk along in the forest, and Sano comments on how she still loves Robert. He tries to ease her troubles by telling her that they will get Robert back. As everyone is doing this, God and the Infernal Margarette continue their battle, both coming to standstills, despite putting everything they have into it. When the fight winds down, the Infernal Margarette reveals that he knows that God has an item powerful enough to give God the edge. However, God was holding out in an effort to change Margarette's mind. Instead, they call it a draw. Just after, however, Hanon uses a powerful Ranma to slice through God. Not expecting this, God is struck and left bleeding on the floor. Hanon then reveals his true plans, which have nothing to do with the Infernal Margarette or the Guardian clan. Hanon wants to take over the fourth round battle and change the rules. Finally, Hanon does this by taking God's precious device, named Mr. Stopper, an item that changes the rules to suit one's own purpose. Hanon then swallows a weak and injured God, possessing his powers. The first change that Hanon announces is that the fourth round will start as soon as possible, instead of the next morning.
The Law of the Fourth Round The fourth round begins and Hanon explains the rules. They are quite simple: be the first to make it to Hanon and defeat him to win. If they can't, Hanon will destroy everyone. While Hanon hides in his floating battlefield, everyone attempts to meet up with him, including Ueki and Mori, but they are stopped by the Infernal Margarette. Margarette threatens Ueki then goes after Mori. However, due to Ueki's determination to stop Hanon, Margarette reveals his true form, and the secret of the Guardian clan: they are celestial beasts in human form. Meanwhile, Li Ho is the first to meet up with Hanon, and they fight. Li Ho stands up pretty well against Hanon, managing to block most incoming attacks and show an impressive display of power as usual. However, he is no match for Hanon, and is defeated after a long battle. Just as he faints, Rinko and Sano show up ready to fight. But they aren't alone. Van Decout and Diegostar show up to help.
The Law of the Ten Star Rinko and group fight Hanon and a long battle ensues. After going through several basic attacks, Van and Diegostar create a combination attack, while Sano uses a new special attack which, unfortunately, we never see. However, even these are ineffective. In the meantime, Ueki begins training inside the celestial beast that the Infernal Margarette has become, while Mori runs to meet up with everyone at Hanon. Along the way she is stopped by Kill Norton, who pleads with her to make him love eyeglasses again so he will go help the others fight. When she runs away from him, he explains the importance of Van and Diegostar to him. After doing so, Mori tricks him into thinking he loves eyeglasses and they run up to meet the others. As Van, Diegostar, and Kill Norton are now together, they can perform their special combination attack. Unfortunately, while they are powering it up, Kill Norton is taken out by Hanon. He then proceeds to take out everyone else. Once they are gone, only Mori remains. Hanon picks her up and walks her over to a cliff, choking her all the way. While doing this he explains why he has done what he has done. As a member of the Guardian clan, he never understood happiness. Then one day he started believing that happiness was a path devoid of hindrances, and that meant destroying everyone. Just as Hanon drops Mori off the cliff, she is caught by Ueki, who has become a tenth star celestial. He uses the ninth star sacred weapon, Seiku, to catch her.
The Law of Ueki Vs. Hanon After waiting for a long time, the battle between Ueki and Hanon finally gets underway. Ueki is even the first to get a hit off of Hanon as he transfers the energy from his Raika to his Seiku in order to match Hanon's speed. At this point, Hanon unleashes his Archenemy, the tenth star sacred weapon, and we finally get to see it. Archenemy is a summoned beauty that takes on a random form and is as powerful as the will of its user. Ueki also summons his Archenemy, which takes on the form of Mr. K, but is still less powerful than Hanon. Hanon seems to be getting the better of Ueki, until he reveals a secret: Archenemy can only be summoned six times, and Hanon is on his last one because Robert used it twice before the fight. However, Ueki still has two. Just as Ueki feels defeated, Mori calls to him and Ueki finds his will: the will to protect his friends. Ueki's Archenemy finally overpowers Hanon's, resulting in Ueki defeating it. As a reward, he spits out Robert. Without Robert, however, he can no longer use Robert's power. He explains why he spits him out. With Robert, Hanon was limited by how many talents Robert had. Now that he has been spit out, he is no longer limited in the number of talents. This is unlike Ueki, who is not technically fighting a competitor of the tournament. And because Ueki only has eighteen talents left, Ueki only has eighteen chances to take out Hanon.
The Law of the Talent of Blank This is the final episode. The battle between Ueki and Hanon is in its midst, but quickly gets sour for Ueki as he continually uses his sacred weapons against Hanon. Each one of the sacred weapons come in contact, but just barely, as Hanon is able to tactically get the sacred weapons to hit, but not hurt him. Ueki finally gets down to only a few, and those quickly deteriorate. Just as things seem at their end, Mori, Sano, and Rinko all attack, managing to help out Ueki just enough. However, Ueki is down to his last two talents, and he uses them, first by using a Kurogane to throw Hanon off balance and then using his last Archenemy to finish the job. And he does, as Ueki and Hanon disappear through a thick, black cloud of smoke. Mori pines for Ueki, and Rinko and Sano are in disbelief. Just as they begin to mourn for Ueki, Hideyoshi and Barrow show up. However, Hideyoshi appears knocked out, since he took a direct hit from the Kurogane that Ueki had unleashed. This counted as a defeat, and as the rules state, whenever a representative defeats another, he gains a talent. So in essence, as Ueki lost all his talents, he gains one, and that means he doesn't in fact disappear. And now everyone is happy. The show pretty much wraps up now with a look at everyone's departure and them getting on with their life. Ueki gets the Talent of Blank, Rinko goes out with, and subsequently dumps, Robert, Sano goes in search of hot springs all over the world, and Hideyoshi takes off never knowing he saved Ueki. As for Wanko, who was trapped in the underworld, he is elected as the next celestial king by the Ueki team as a whole. Ueki and Mori get back to their old life and Ueki appears to be getting better at the things he had been poor at when he lost his talents. Finally, at the end, we see Mr. K return to being a teacher at the school. This is due to the Talent of Blank that is revealed at the very end: the Talent to Reunite.
