List of Sussex County Cricket Club grounds
Sussex County Cricket Club was established on 1 March 1839.[1] Since then, they have played first-class and List A cricket at a number of different home grounds. Their first home first-class match was against Kent in 1839 at the Royal New Ground, Brighton. The current headquarters of Sussex County Cricket Club is the County Ground, which located in Hove.[1] This venue has also has held a single One Day International between India and South Africa in the 1999 World Cup.[2]
As of 5 August 2012, Sussex have played 3,345 first-class matches and 919 List A matches at seventeen different home grounds. They have also played 97 Twenty20 matches in England, with 45 of their homes games having been played at the County Ground, Hove, and three at Arundel Castle Cricket Ground. The seventeen grounds that Sussex have used for home matches are listed below, with statistics complete through to the end of the 2012 season.
