- Major General Shavendra Silva - commanding the troops of the 58 Division in Sri Lankan Civil War.
Sri Lanka Police
- IGP Lucky Kodituwakku - Former Inspector General of Police, appointed as the 25th IGP of Sri Lanka. He is the only IGP to have died while in office.[1]
Sportspersons
- Chanaka Welegedara - Member of Sri Lanka national cricket team of test, ODI, T20I formats.[2]
- Lahiru Madushanka - Member of Sri Lanka under 23s team, and 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup team.[3][4][5]
- Sajith Shamendra Wijekoon - A former captain the School side in Cricket, Hockey and Bandminton. Up to date he holds the record of winning all the matches under his captaincy in Cricket.
- Ranjith Wijekoon - A hockey player, Sri Lanka national hockey team and Asia Hockey Team.[6]

- S. Mark - A Sri Lankan Rapper.
- Nino Araliya Jayakodi - An actor, a singer and a TV commercial actor.
- Nuwan Marasinghe - A Sri Lankan singer.
- Hemal Ranasinghe - A model, TV presenter, an actor and a dancer.
