This is an incomplete list of verified South American supercentenarians (people from South America who have attained the age of at least 110 years). There have been 6 verified supercentenarians from South America,.[1] The Gerontology Research Group lists persons as living whose ages have been validated and confirmed to be alive within the past year. The oldest South American ever was Ecuadorian woman María Capovilla, who died at the age of 116 years and 347 days. As of 30 April 2015, there is 1 verified living supercentenarian,[2] along with 1 pending and 22 unverified.[3]
