List of Malaysia football champions

League in Malaysia began in 1982 with each state represented by their respective teams. However, it just held the league qualifying round for each state to qualify for the Malaysia Cup. All states participating in this league with the police and army as well as the two countries, namely Singapore and Brunei.

Beginning in the season 1989 to 1993 and 1998 to 2003, the Malaysian Football League is divided into two divisions. Between 1994–96, there was only one division which all states to compete in a division. Between the years 2004 to 2006, the Malaysia league is divided into two groups of Premier League and Malaysia Super League. In 2007, the Premier League put together, consisting solely of the Malaysia Super League and Malaysia Premier League. Malaysia was known as the League of Semi-Pro League (1989 to 1993) and the League Malaysia (1994 to 2003) and now known as the Malaysia Super League.
