List of Kent County Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Kent County Cricket Club in first-class matches since the club was originally founded on 6 August 1842 (on 1 March 1859, it underwent a substantial reorganisation). Kent county teams played first-class cricket in the 18th century and the county had achieved a high standard before the club was founded. The list includes all players who had represented Kent before August 1842 and then went on to play for the county club; pre-1842 Kent players who did not play for the county club are excluded.

The new club played a single first-class match in the 1842 season against All-England at White Hart Field in Bromley on 25, 26 and 27 August. The team on that occasion was Tom Adams, William Baker, Edward Banks, William Dorrinton, William Hillyer, John Lefeaver, Will Martingell, Alfred Mynn, Fuller Pilch, William Smith and Ned Wenman.[1]

The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Kent player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides Kent. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2014 season.[2]
