Proposed deletion of List of HSUPA networks

The article List of HSUPA networks has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This list is incomplete, there are A LOT OF missing sources and we will never be able to cover all networks worldwide (if only because of missing sources!). HSUPA has de-facto become a standard technology in deployed UMTS networks, which already have a separate list. For this reason: Why should we maintain multiple lists for every "add-on-technology" to a common and widely adopted mobile standard?!? Instead we should focus on a few milestones (e.g. first launches, special networks and operators that were the first to launch new technologies. This should happen in the main article HSUPA. Lists only make sense if there is the possibility to have a complete coverage and people that are interested and able to maintain them an a regular basis.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

• Telstra has introduced HSUPA on its Next G network, operating with a 1.9 Mbit/s enhanced uplink speed.^[1] As of June 2009 selected regional and metropolitan areas of Next G operate at HSUPA Category 6 speeds, with a peak uplink of 5.76 Mbit/s.^[2]

Austria

• Hutchison 3
• A1 started the world's first HSUPA network in February 2007. It operates at 5.76 Mbit uplink. The operator plans to upgrade its 3G network to 11 Mbit/s.
• T-Mobile is planning to introduce HSUPA in 2007 or 2008.

• Deutsche Telekom started HSUPA deployment in late 2007 and completed it by July 2008, offering 1.45 Mbit/s. Now offering speeds up to 5.76 Mbit/s.
• Telefónica O2 Germany started HSUPA deployment in mid-2008, offering 1.45 Mbit/s. Now offering speeds up to 5.76 Mbit/s.
• E-Plus started HSUPA deployment in 2012, currently offering 5.76 Mbit/s.

• Orange Romania started HSUPA in 42 major cities on 31 October 2007. Initial upload speeds are up to 1.46 Mbit/s.

• M1 together with Nokia, claims first in the world to provide HSUPA at speeds of up to 1.45 Mbit/s on the 2100 MHz spectrum on December 18, 2006.
• StarHub started HSUPA @ 1.9 Mbit/s on the 2100 MHz spectrum on August 1, 2007.
• All three telcos, SingTel, M1, and StarHub, upgraded to HSUPA with the maximum speed of 2.0 Mbit/s by 2008.
• All three telcos, SingTel, M1, and StarHub, upgraded the HSUPA network to reach speed up to 5.76 Mbit/s later from end-2008.

Slovakia

• Orange started HSUPA @ 1.46 Mbit/s at 2100 MHz on November 7, 2007.
• T-Mobile started HSUPA @ 1.46 Mbit/s at 2100 MHz on June 2, 2009.
• Telefónica O2 started HSUPA on April, 2011.

Slovenia

• Mobitel has commercially launched HSUPA in 2007 with speeds up to 1.4 Mbit/s.
• Tušmobil has commercially launched HSUPA in November 2009 with speeds up to 2.0 Mbit/s.
• T-2 has commercially launched HSUPA in June 2008 with speeds up to 2.0 Mbit/s.

South Africa

• Vodacom started HSUPA @ 1.46 Mbit/s in 2008.
• MTN (South Africa) is planning to introduce HSUPA in 2007.

South Korea

• KTF started HSUPA in June 2007 in major cities including Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju and Daegu with nationwide service available by October 2007.
• SK Telecom is planning to build an HSUPA network in Busan in June 2007 and plans to launch the service with USB devices in October 2007.

Spain

• Movistar offers HSPA+ (21 Mbit/s download and 5.8 Mbit/s upload speeds) in several mayor cities. Older configurations like 14.4 Mbit/s download speeds are available in towns with 100,000 or more inhabitants plus relevant villages. Dual Carrier (42 Mbit/s download rate) will be available later 2011.
• Vodafone is upgrading to 7.2 Mbit/s download and 2 Mbit/s upload speeds to replace the current 3.6 Mbit/s download and 384 kbit/s upload speeds in several mayor cities. Speeds of up to 14.4 Mbit/s will be available later this year.
• Orange offers 3.6 Mbit/s download and 384 kbit/s upload, but is upgrading its net and 7.2 Mbit/s download and HSUPA 2 Mbit/s upload speed is already available in several major cities.

Sri Lanka

• Dialog has commercially launched HSPA+ with speeds up to 28.8 Mbit/s.
• Mobitel has commercially launched DC-HSPA+ with speeds up to 42 Mbit/s.
• Etisalat has commercially launched DC-HSPA+ with speeds up to 42 Mbit/s.
• Airtel has commercially launched HSPA+ with speeds up to 21 Mbit/s.
• Hutch has commercially launched HSPA with speeds up to 7.2 Mbit/s.

Sudan

• Sudani Upgraded From CDMA & started running publicly on November 2009 HSUPA @ 7.2 Mbit/s
• Zain Started in the third quarter of 2008

Sweden

• 3 started HSUPA in September 2007

Switzerland

• Sunrise launched HSUPA in 2010, offering speeds up to 5.76 Mbit/s.
• Swisscom is planning to introduce HSUPA in 2008.

United Kingdom

• Vodafone started HSUPA @ 2 Mbit/s at 2100 MHz on September 3, 2007.

United States

• AT&T Mobility started HSUPA in November 2007 with The Sierra Wireless 881 PC Card being the first to feature HSUPA.^[3] iPhone 4 will be the first phone on AT&T to support HSUPA.
