Jay Moffat is a fictional character in the BBC soap, Doctors. He first appeared in a two part special entitled 'In The Queen's Arms' Part 1 & 2 which were originally aired on 26 and 27 January 2011 and is portrayed by Jay Turner.

Jay is killed in a hit and run outside a pub on New Year's Eve. A year later, the pub is derelict, and Danny (Jay's brother) wants to run a marathon in memory of him. Doctor Jimmi thinks he may be pushing it though. Danny and Jay's ex-girlfriend Sam don't like the way the neighborhood is going, and are shocked when the pub is bought and the new owners want to turn it into an Asian establishment. Then Sam reckons the new owners are responsible for Jay's death.

Lucy Vaughn was a fictional character in the BBC soap, Doctors. She first appeared on 11 February 2011 and last appeared on 25 February 2011. She was portrayed by Joanne Farrell. Lucy was the University Lecturer of Jack Hollins and she had a short relationship with him. Unaware to Jack, Lucy was married to Grant Myers, but Lucy said they were in a stale marriage and that she took pity on Grant.

Angie Briggs was a fictional character in the BBC soap, Doctors. She first appeared on 17 February 2011 and last appeared the day after on the 18 February 2011, she was portrayed by Den Woods. She made a brief return on 14 April 2011 at a party where friend, Karen Hollins also attended. She is the single Brummie mate of Karen Hollins, she tries to get Karen to constantly date other men, when Karen and Rob are separated.

Dafydd 'Daf' Llewellyn was a fictional character in the BBC soap, Doctors. He first appeared on 4 March 2011 and last appeared on 17 March 2011, he was portrayed by Richard Corgan. Daf was the childhood friend of Dr Jimmi Clay. He travelled the world and has never decided to settle down. He is a womanizer and flirted continuously with Cherry Malone, even after she told him she didn't feel the same way. It was discovered that Daf was trying to get Jimmi to pay for a holiday to Spain for him, but Cherry found out and the friendship was over.

Ryan Murphy is a fictional character in the BBC soap, Doctors. He first appeared on 7 April 2011 and is portrayed by Kaine Barr. Ryan is a security guard and saw Imogen Hollins attempt to steal a few bracelets, he told her that she must go on a date with him, or he'll tell the police what she did. It was later revealed on their date that he likes making pottery and he doesn't get on with his father, as he is an alcoholic.

He first appeared on 11 May 2011 at a job interview at the Mill Health Centre where he met Dr. Freya Wilson; they both instantly disliked each other. Kevin was mentored by Dr. Daniel Granger.

Lauren Porter is a fictional character in the BBC soap opera, Doctors. She was portrayed by Alexis Peterman, and made her first appearance on 5 August 2011, and last on 21 September 2011.

After Mrs Tembe leaves on holiday, Julia Parsons (Diane Keen) contacts a daughter of an old friend, Lauren Porter. On her first day she immediately attracts the attention of all the practise members, particularly Dr. Kevin Tyler (Simon Rivers), but only disdain from Dr Freya. Dr. Tyler instantly takes interest in Lauren, and tries to win her over by offering her dinner, but she turns him down. On August 5, 2011, a patient waiting to see Dr Jimmi Clay (Adrian Lewis Morgan) brings her pet rat to the surgery for comfort, which scares Kevin away. Lauren agrees to look after the patient's rat, placing it in a box, feeding it bread. Later, Lauren catches a homeless man named Dennis (Andy Devine) washing his hands and feet in the toilets at the Mill. Dr Freya Wilson (Lu Corfield) has words with Lauren after she makes a stereotypic judgement of Dennis. Lauren later agrees to see if Dennis has checked in to a homeless shelter Freya recommended. However, she goes home and later tells Freya that Dennis hadn't followed her advice. Lauren continued to bully Imogen, wind up Kevi and clash with Karen when she finally confronted her over her antics. Bur her lover Dr. Harrison Kellor (James Larkin) was furious when she gleefully admits that she has been cheating on him, and eventually killed her in a rage.

Dr. Harrison Kellor first appeared on 11 August 2011 and is portrayed by James Larkin. Harrison is a forensics specialist at Letherbridge police station. He begins a relationship with Elaine Cassidy (Janet Dibley). After admitting that he is married, his marriage and relationship with Elaine both end. Having given Jack Hollins (Nicolas Woodman) work experience in his forensics laboratory, he starts up a new relationship with receptionist Lauren Porter (Alexis Peterman). When he finds out that Lauren had a relationship with Kevin Tyler (Simon Rivers), he murders her. He is then sent to prison.

Return

In August 2012, it was announced that Larkin had reprised his role.[1] Larkin is to appear in a week of episodes airing on the Red button as Harrison changes his plea for Lauren's murder to not guilty.[1] Elaine will be in "shock" and Alex Redmond (Stuart Laing) asks for help from Elaine, "which puts her in a difficult position".[1] A statement said, "Discovering that Alex's wife went missing after an affair with Harrison, Elaine is forced to consider that he may have killed other women too. Plagued by phone calls from Harrison in prison, will Elaine be able to confront her former lover and resist his charms?".[1] Series producer Mike Hobson finished in saying, "Lauren's murder was one of Doctors most popular storylines, and this Red Button event picks up on one of the show's most chilling villains, building across the week to a dramatic conclusion".[1] The first episode is to air on 17 September.[1] His return will also serve as the exit storyline for Elaine.[2]

Marina Bonnaire was a fictional character in the BBC soap opera, Doctors. She was portrayed by Marian McLoughlin and made her first on-screen appearance on 25 October 2011, she made her last appearance on 5 March 2012.

It was announced in spring 2011, that a new Nurse/ Health Visitor was to join the cast later on in the year. In August it was confirmed that Marian McLoughlin was to play the part. She was introduced to be the love interest of long-standing regular, Dr Heston Carter. Marina is the new Health Visitor at the Mill Health Centre. She is well-liked by most staff, especially Dr Heston Carter whom she is in a relationship with. Because of her relationship with Heston, receptionist Mrs Tembe has become very jealous of her, as she too has feelings for Heston. In November 2011, she moved into Heston's house, to son Ian's disapproval, but Ian did help move her things into his house.

During their relationship Marina became volatile and dispassionate towards Heston, and had very short temper. A culmination of all these things led to Heston deciding to end things between them. He asked Marina to leave the house, so she ended up back at her son Ian's place in the hope she could stay. Ian however saw that she was in the wrong, and told her she had landed herself in this mess.
