List of Death in Paradise episodes
Death in Paradise was first commissioned in 2010 by the BBC. It starred Ben Miller as D.I. Richard Poole and Sara Martins as D.S. Camille Bordey. The first series began airing in October 2011. The show was recommissioned and a second series aired in January 2013. A third series was confirmed in February 2013, and aired in January 2014.[1] Miller, who had previously announced he would be leaving the show, left after the first episode and was replaced by Kris Marshall.[2] On 28 February 2014, BBC confirmed that Death in Paradise will return for a fourth season. The series began filming in May 2014 and was broadcast in early 2015.[3] A fifth series, which will air in 2016, was confirmed in February 2015.[4]
To date, 32 episodes have aired.

On 12 February 2013, after high ratings for the second series, Death in Paradise was re-commissioned for a third series which began on Tuesday 14 January 2014.[12] Miller exited the show during the first episode of the series.

In the cells of Saint Marie court house, murder suspect Jack Harmer, awaiting trial, is shot dead by a killer that would have to pass through three locked doors and past Dwayne and JP. Eliminating suspects to an initial three and then a fourth but not how the murder was committed and what happened to the murder weapon; until Humphrey remembers ants coming through a window into the cell that leads to the solving of two murders. Humphrey's father comes to the island to convince him to come back home to England for his ex-wife, Sally, but watching his son solve the case realizes he is happy for him to remain in Saint Marie. In late February 2015, the BBC confirmed a fifth series had been commissioned, to air in 2016.[14]
