List of Cambridge University Cricket Club players

This is a complete list in alphabetical order of cricketers who have played for Cambridge University in first-class and List A matches since 1817.[1] The details are the player's usual name followed by the years in which he was active as a Cambridge player and then his name is given as it appears on match scorecards (i.e., usually his surname preceded by all initials). Note that many players represented other first-class teams besides Cambridge. Current players are shown as active to the end of the 2013 season.

Since the 2001 season, Cambridge players have played as members of teams representing combinations of British universities or as part of the Cambridge University Centre of Cricketing Excellence, later rebranded the Cambridge Marylebone Cricket Club University (Cambridge MCCU), which takes students from other universities in the Cambridge area into some first-class matches. Consequently, the only first-class matches in which the authentic Cambridge University team (i.e., consisting purely of students at the University of Cambridge) has played from 2001 is the annual Varsity Match against a similarly constituted side from Oxford University.

Richard Holmes (W. R. Holmes) played List A cricket for Cambridge University Cricket Club in 1974, but did not appear for the team in first-class matches.
