List of Big Brother 2 HouseGuests (U.S.)

The second edition of the American reality television series Big Brother featured 12 new HouseGuests.[1] The series saw the HouseGuests participating in weekly evictions where they would vote on of their own out, with competitions determining who would be in power for the week.[2] When only two HouseGuests remained, the former HouseGuests would vote for one of the two to win the show's $500,000 grand prize.[3]

Autumn

Autumn Nicole Daly (born December 11, 1972) was an aspiring singer from Irving, Texas.[4] Autumn was a single mother, and had a son named Justus.[5] She was one of two African American HouseGuests this season.[6] Upon entering the house, Autumn quickly formed a close bond with Bunky and Nicole, and was the first HouseGuest to learn that Bunky was gay.[7] She initially had a friendship with Hardy, and was later hurt when he seemingly turned against her prior to her eviction.[8] Autumn often clashed with the members of the Chilltown alliance, and was the victim of various pranks from Shannon.[9] She was seen as flirtatious by her fellow HouseGuests, and Hardy felt she needed male attention.[10] Autumn often complained about life in the house, and struggled with being apart from her son.[8] Autumn was nominated in the second week, alongside Kent, and went on to be evicted on Day 19 as the HouseGuests felt she would much rather be home.[11][12] Autumn came in tenth place, and voted for Nicole to win the series.[13] Following the series, Autumn continued to pursue a singing career, though this failed.[14] She initially became engaged to her boyfriend, Tony, though the couple split up.[15] She returned home to Texas, and is still a single parent to Justus.[16]

Bunky

Bill "Bunky" Miller (born November 6, 1964) was a technical writer from Harrisburg, North Carolina.[17] Bunky was the first openly gay HouseGuest to appear on the series, a fact that he initially chose to hide from his fellow housemates.[7] Bunky formed early bonds with HouseGuests such as Autumn and Nicole, and later formed a close friendship with Kent.[18] Bunky became known for frequently crying in the house, typically over simple things.[19] Bunky's crying become a running joke among fans of the series, and Bunky has often acknowledged the jokes.[20] Bunky initially was a part of the Hot Box and TOP alliances, created to go against the Chilltown group.[21] Despite this, Bunky would vote with the majority of the house each week, even evicting his closest ally Kent to stay in the majority.[22] Bunky was evicted on Day 61, coming in fifth place; he voted for Nicole to win the series.[23] Following his appearance on the series, Bunky went on to make several appearances on the series. He was a co-host of the spin-off series House Calls: The Big Brother Talk Show (2004–08) during the third through sixth seasons.[24] He was a candidate to appear on Big Brother: All-Stars (2006), though was not selected to compete in the series.[25] He later made an appearance on Big Brother 10 (2008) to participate in a food competition.[26] Bunky and his then-husband, Greg, have since separated since Bunky's appearance on the show.[27] He is an avid supporter of gay rights, and now attends various pride events.[28]

Hardy

Hardy Ames-Hill (born May 12, 1970) was a Bouncer from York, Pennsylvania.[29] Hardy and his older brother, Brady, were raised by his grandparents in York.[29] He went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania.[29] Hardy formed a close friendship with Kent, Krista, and Nicole early on.[9] He took a strong dislike towards the Chilltown group, and often stated that it was his goal in the game to evict them from the house.[30] He most notably clashed with Shannon in the house, with Shannon at one point using Hardy's toothbrush to clean the toilet.[31] Hardy was seen as a strong gameplayer, winning a total of three consecutive Head of Household competition.[32] This gave Hardy the record for most consecutive Head of Household wins, a record he held until Ian Terry broke the record in 2012.[33] Though Hardy had close friendships in the house, he ultimately turned against former allies such as Krista and Kent to further himself in the game.[34] Upon turning on the TOP alliance, Hardy formed an alliance with Nicole and Will.[35] This ultimately hurt his game, however, when Will cast the sole vote to evict Hardy on Day 68.[36] Hardy came in fourth place, and voted for Nicole to win. Since appearing on the series, Hardy has gone on to do minor work in film and television.[37] He appeared on an episode of Big Brother: All-Stars (2006) to participate in a Power of Veto competition.[38] Hardy, along with several other former HouseGuests, appeared as himself on a Big Brother themed episode of the CBS sitcom Yes Dear (2000–06) in 2003.[39] He later moved to Miami, and in 2007 was listed as one of "America's Most Eligible Bachelor's" by Extra.[40] Hardy has since become a multi-business owner, and has gotten married.[41]

Justin

Justin Sebik (born 1975) was a bartender from Bayonne, New Jersey.[42] Justin had been arrested multiple times before appearing on the show, receiving two misdemeanor charges and committing theft; CBS claimed to be unaware of this.[43] Justin formed an alliance with the other guys in the house, though this quickly fell apart as Justin began to clash with HouseGuests Kent and Hardy.[9] Justin had a flirtatious and romantic relationship with Krista in the house, and friendships with Mike, Shannon, and Will.[44] During his stay in the house, Justin became known for breaking rules in the house. He received warnings from production for acts such as breaking a chess board, urinating on a window, and physically intimidating his housemates.[45] On Day 10, Justin held a knife up to an intoxicated Krista's throat while the two made out, leading to his expulsion minutes later.[46] The HouseGuests were not aware of the precise reason Justin had been expelled, as Krista could not remember the event.[47] Justin went on to defend himself for his actions, feeling that he had done nothing wrong in the house.[48] Following his appearance on the series, Justin was arrested multiple times, once for aggravated assault against his girlfriend.[49] He continues to live in New Jersey, and works in auto sales.[50]

Kent

Kent Blackwelder (born 1955) was a mortgage broker from Powell, Tennessee.[51] Kent was married, and had two children outside of the house.[52] While in the house, Kent became known for his loud Southern accent, which annoyed several of his housemates.[7] Kent ran out of cigarettes during his stay in the house, and attempted to quit smoking as production would not provide him with more.[53] Kent attempted to form alliances very early in the game, forming an alliance with the other men in the house.[54] Kent had a close friendship with Bunky, which came as a shock to the other HouseGuests due to Bunky's sexuality.[55] He had a strong dislike for the members of the Chilltown alliance, and often engaged in arguments with Mike and Shannon.[56] Kent was one of the HouseGuests to form the Hot Box and TOP alliances, both created to go against the members of Chilltown.[35] Kent was the fourth Head of Household of the season, and was nominated for eviction twice during his stay in the house.[22] He was evicted on Day 40, coming in seventh place; he voted for Will to win.[57] Since appearing on the series, Kent returned to Tennessee and still resides there with his family.[58] Kent often discusses the series with fans, and remains close friends with Bunky.[58]

Krista

Krista Stegall (born July 25, 1973) was a waitress from Opelousas, Louisiana.[59] Krista was a single mother, and had a daughter named Laken.[60] Upon entering the house, Krista became one of the more popular HouseGuests, forming bonds with several HouseGuests.[7] Krista formed a flirtatious relationship with Justin early on in the house, though this abruptly ended when he was expelled from the house after holding a knife to her neck while the two made out.[61] Following this, Krista began to form a romantic relationship with Mike.[62] She had a close friendship with Monica in the house.[35] Krista was initially part of the Hot Box alliance, created to go against Chilltown, but later became an outsider when she chose not to nominate a member of Chilltown during her Head of Household reign.[63] She was part of the Untouchables alliance with Hardy and Monica, though this later hurt her game as it led to Nicole targeting her for eviction upon discovering the alliance.[35] Krista was ultimately evicted on Day 47, coming in sixth place; she voted for Will to win.[34] Mike proposed to her during the finale of the series, with Krista saying yes; the couple split up months later.[64] Krista later sued CBS for the incident that led to Justin's expulsion, citing "damages for negligence on the part of CBS and the producers, pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical bills, mental impairment and loss of enjoyment of life."[65][66][67] Krista later claimed to be a victim of assault at the hands of a former Survivor cast member Kenward "Boo" Bernis.[68][69]

Mike

Mike "Boogie" Malin (born July 16, 1970) was a bar owner from Los Angeles, California.[70] Prior to his appearance, Mike had been arrested and fined for filming footage of the then-unreleased film Batman & Robin (1997), receiving five misdemeanor charges.[71] While in the house, he became known for rapping, and often came up with games for the HouseGuests to play.[9] Mike became a member of the Chilltown alliance with friends Shannon and Will, and also had a close friendship with Justin.[72] He initially had a close friendship with Krista, which later formed into a romantic relationship.[73] The Chilltown group quickly became a target for the other HouseGuests, with various alliances forming in an attempt to take out the alliance.[35] Mike was a source of much drama in the house, clashing with HouseGuests such as Autumn and Kent.[74] He was the first Head of Household of the season, and unsuccessfully targeted Nicole for eviction.[75] Mike was ultimately evicted on Day 33, coming in eighth place; he voted for Will to win.[76] Since his appearance on the season, Mike has gone on to make several appearances on the show. He returned as a contestant on Big Brother: All-Stars (2006), along with Chilltown partner Will.[77] He returned yet again during a food competition in Big Brother 10 (2008) which featured one representative from each season.[78] He appeared on Big Brother 11 (2009) along with three other former HouseGuests that were interviewed on the show.[79] He appeared as a mentor to new HouseGuests during Big Brother 14 (2012), though he later became an official HouseGuest himself.[80] His appearances on the series have led to Mike often being listed as a "legend" of the series.[81][82] Outside of the game, Mike has gone on to open several restaurants and bars, and has made several appearances in television and film.[83] He has since had a son named Brady.[84]

Monica

Monica Bailey (born 1971) was a candy store manager and adult literacy teacher from Brooklyn, New York.[85] She was one of two African American HouseGuests this season. She became known for her temper in the house, and often used the phrase "It's on!" when upset.[35] She had a close friendship with Krista in the house, and was part of the Untouchables alliance with Hardy and Krista. Monica also joined the Hot Box and TOP alliances.[35] Monica was also close with Bunky and Kent. Monica's cousin, Tamitha, was killed during the September 11th attacks; she was informed of this in the Diary Room, along with Nicole and Will.[86] Monica won one Head of Household competition, and was nominated for eviction twice.[87] She ultimately came in third place, and voted for Will to win.[88] Following her appearance, Monica was a candidate to appear on Big Brother: All-Stars (2006), though she was not selected to enter the house.[89] She later made a cameo in a porn film starring Big Brother 10 (2008) cast member Steven Daigle.[90]

Nicole

Nicole Nilson Schaffrich (born February 3, 1970) was a personal chef from Atlanta, Georgia.[91] Nicole was a newlywed, having left her honeymoon to appear on the series.[35] Nicole clashed with numerous HouseGuests early on, making her an early target in the game. Despite this, she later improved her relationships and became an influential player in the house.[92] She had a close friendship and alliance with Hardy, and also had friendships with Krista, Monica, and Bunky.[35] Though initially disliking the members of Chilltown, Nicole did form bonds with the members of the group, and even considered Will a friend.[93] Nicole became the center of controversy following a night in the hot tub with Will, during which there was speculation that she had performed a sexual act on him; this was untrue.[94] Nicole was the runner-up of the series, losing to Will in the final vote.[95] After the show, Nicole went on to do minor work in television.[96] She also became a radio disc jockey in Atlanta.[97] Nicole appeared in two separate episodes of Big Brother: All-Stars (2006), participating in both a Power of Veto competition and a food competition.[98]

Shannon

Shannon Michelle Dragoo (born December 17, 1971) was a real-estate agent and model from San Antonio, Texas.[99] Shannon had a boyfriend, Jim, prior to entering the house.[93] Shannon formed a close bond with Mike and Will early on, and the three formed the Chilltown alliance.[9] Shannon and Will later formed a romantic relationship, despite Shannon having a boyfriend at home.[100] She worked out daily in the house, and often helped other HouseGuests get into shape as well.[101] She became known for her mean-spirited antics in the house, such as placing a bag of potato chips on Autumn's bed to imply she was fat.[102] She had notable arguments with Autumn, Hardy, and Kent.[35] Following her nomination in the third week, Shannon infamously used Hardy's toothbrush to clean the toilet.[103] She was later instructed to dispose of the toothbrush before Hardy could use it.[104] The event caused a stir online, and is regarded as one of the most memorable moments in the series.[105][106] Shannon was evicted on Day 26, coming in ninth place; she voted for Will to win.[107] Following her appearance on the series, Shannon did work with Playboy under the name Shannon Michelle.[108] She and Will moved in together following the series, though the two broke up after months of dating.[109] Shannon, who now works as a paramedic, has since married and had two children.[110]

Sheryl

Sheryl Braxton was a 43-year-old real estate agent and interior designer from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.[111] Sheryl was a divorcee, and had two children.[112] Sheryl stated her children dared her to audition for the show, leading to her eventually get chosen.[54] Sheryl formed close bonds with all of the HouseGuests early on, most prominently Nicole.[9] She is regarded as the first "pawn" in the show's history, being nominated for eviction as Mike believed she was too well liked to go home against Nicole.[113] Despite Mike feeling confident that Sheryl would stay, the other housemates decided to evict Sheryl to negatively effect the Chilltown alliance.[114] She came in eleventh place, and voted for Will to win.[115] Weeks after leaving the house, Sheryl was diagnosed with cancer, and began undergoing treatment.[88] The following year, Sheryl was officially cancer free.[116] Sheryl continues to sell real estate and lives in Florida with her family.[117]

Will

William Terence Kirby (born January 2, 1973) was a physician from St. Louis, Missouri.[118] Known by names such as "Dr. Will" and "The Evil Doctor", Will quickly took on a villainous role in the series.[119] He had a close friendship with housemate Mike, and a romantic relationship with Shannon; the three formed the Chilltown alliance.[35] When the alliance became a target for the house, Will began implementing the strategy of throwing competitions and being the most hated to stay in the game.[120] Following the evictions of his allies, Will formed an alliance with Hardy and Nicole.[35] He often told the other HouseGuests outright that he would lie to them and backstab them, shocking the group.[35] Will went on to win the grand prize, beating out Nicole in the final vote.[121] Since his appearance on the series, Will has gone on to become known as the greatest HouseGuest to ever play the game.[121][122][123][124] Viewers of the series, other HouseGuests, and even host Julie Chen have cited Will as one of the best players.[125] He went on to compete in Big Brother: All-Stars (2006), as well as make appearances in Big Brother 14 (2012), Big Brother 15 (2013), and most recently Big Brother 16 (2014).[126][127] Will and Shannon dated for several months following the series, though eventually broke up.[35] He remains close friends with Mike, and the two have opened several businesses together.[128] Will has since gotten engaged, and had two children.[129]
