Skye shoots Ward, but he escapes with Agent 33. In "The Dirty Half Dozen," Grant Ward helps Phil Coulson into raiding a Hydra base in the arctic to rescue Lincoln Campbell and Mike Peterson. In "Ye Who Enter Here" and "What They Become", revealing herself to be among a special group of people designated by the alien Kree race, Raina uses the Diviner to unlock her true potential as an Inhuman alongside Skye. However, she is horrified that her Terrigenesis turned her into a thorn-covered creature with yellow eyes and claws. Raina is later taken in by Gordon where she is being trained by Jiaying. After Daniel Whitehall was killed by Coulson in "What They Become", a purposeless Agent 33 escapes with Grant Ward. By "Love in the Time of Hydra", the Photostatic Veil is repaired so she can eventually assume her original scarred face, while also remembering her real name is Kara Lynn Palamas[37] after Ward helped her get the information upon abducting Bakshi. In "The Dirty Half Dozen," Agent 33 was left in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody since Grant states that SHIELD would help Agent 33 with the past that was erased in the brainwashing.

Wen portrayed the character when she took the likeness of Agent May until "Love in the Time of Hydra".[38][39]
