Liophis atraventer is a species of snake in the Colubridae family. It is endemic to Brazil.[1]

Geographic range

It is found in the Brazilian states of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.[2]

Habitat

Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.[1]

Conservation status

It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
