Linley Point is a suburb on the north side of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 10 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Municipality of Lane Cove.
Overview
Linley Point is a peninsula between the northern side of the Lane Cove River and Burns Bay. Views to the Sydney CBD and the Sydney Harbour Bridge with Hunters Hill and St Ignatius' College, Riverview in the foreground are the area's primary attraction.
Houses
Linley Point is a small suburb, with approximately 100 houses. It has recently undergone significant redevelopment, particularly of older houses. However, there is little access to public transport, with no buses servicing the peninsula.
Parks
Linley Point has a relatively large park on The Crescent. It is used for annual get-together events for the community; a place of being. In early 2000s, the park has had an upgrade which includes a slide. The park has had an upgrade in early 2012, with a lot of bark placed on dangerous rock areas. As there are many younger children living in the suburb, it is regularly used.
Transport
The only access by road is from View Street, off Burns Bay Road.
