Lincoln Land Community College

Lincoln Land Community College is a community college located in Springfield, Illinois. It has extended branches in different locations, including the Eastern Region Education Center located in Taylorville, Illinois. The college is located less than half of a mile away from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Due at least partially to the economy and the preference for some students to stay near their homes during their first years in college, the college has seen a substantial increase of its student population. The 2009 fall semester is one of the largest enrollment increases in its history.[1] In the Spring of 2011, the total number of students enrolled was 8,851.
