Lincoln Academy is a small, private, high school and boarding school located in Newcastle, Maine which serves students from many mid-coast towns, the United States, and nations around the world. Founded in 1801, the school serves 18 towns in the Lincoln County area of Midcoast Maine. Lincoln Academy is the fourth oldest secondary school in Maine The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of several secondary school associations, including the following:
- the National Association of Independent Schools,
- Maine Association of Independent Schools,
- the National Association of Secondary Schools, and
- the Maine School Management Association.
L.A. also has students who come from China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Spain, and Rwanda. In previous years, Lincoln has had students from Germany, Italy, and France. Fall of 2013, the renovation of the Hall House was completed as a dormitory for International students and even students from around the United States.
Lincoln has 520 students and 64 teachers, along with 34 supportive staff members.
The school mascot for Lincoln Academy is the eagle, and the school colors are black and white.
Finis Opus Coronat was originally adopted as the motto of the Class of 1907. It was later adopted as the school motto.

2015 development
As of January 2015, a new residence hall for international, boarding students will open as well as an Applied Technology and Engineering Center. The new Technology Center "expansion will allow us to offer students an even broader academic experience."
