Lin Tzou-yien (Chinese: 林奏延; pinyin: Lín Zòuyán) is a physician in the Republic of China. He currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare and acting Minister on 3-17 October 2014 after the resignation of Minister Chiu Wen-ta over the tainted lard oil scandal.[4][5]

2013 H7N9 flu virus outbreak

In early April 2013 during the H7N9 flu virus outbreak, Lin gave a statement that Taiwan will develop its own vaccine against the virus without any collaboration with Mainland China. Speaking at the Central Epidemic Command Center, he further added that the ROC government has prepared a team to produce the vaccine with the collaboration with local manufacturers.[6]
