Limestone Township is one of seventeen townships in Kankakee County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 5,035 and it contained 1,928 housing units.[1] Limestone Township is one of the six original townships in the county.

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 41.41 square miles (107.3 km2), of which 40.39 square miles (104.6 km2) (or 97.54%) is land and 1.02 square miles (2.6 km2) (or 2.46%) is water.[1]

The township is governed by an elected Town Board of a Supervisor and four Trustees. The Township also has an elected Assessor, Clerk, Highway Commissioner and Supervisor. The Township Office is located at 5030 West Route 17, Kankakee, IL 60901.
