N/A Like I'm a Warrior
(2014)

Like I'm a Warrior is the 2014 debut album of the Norwegian singer-songwriter Emilie Nicolas[1][2] released on Sony Music.[3][4][5][6]

Background

Like I'm a Warrior was awarded two times at the 2014 Spellemannprisen in the categories best Pop singer and Newcomer. With a solid background in jazz from the Conservatory of Trondheim, the girl from Bærum, Norway, Emilie Nicolas, let the music talk alone and she belong on the same stage as the big ones.[1][7] The arrangements work best when ideas do not stand in the way of Nicolas' voice, and do not overflow it with intricate data finely tuned maximalist details, like the exquisite «Grown Up», or the mysterious and up tempo, but equally well soft «Melancholia», where the rhodes lines are let to dance.[3][8] After her grand success in Norway 2014, Emilie Nicolas is one of the headliners for the Øya Festival in Oslo 2015,[9] and will allso be heard at the international festival Moldejazz 2015.[10]
