Liberata Mulamula is a Tanzanian diplomat presently serving as the Ambassador to the United States. She was appointed by President Jakaya Kikwete in 2013.[2][3] Prior, Mrs. Mulamula was the first Executive Secretary of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) in Burundi, and worked with the Tanzanian government in Canada and Tanzania.[4]

Mrs. Mulamula is married to George Mulamula, an engineer and current CEO of the Dar Teknohama (ICT) Business Incubator (DTBi)[5] at the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), under the Ministry of Communications, Science, and Technology.[6] Prior to his role at DTBi, Mr. Mulamula was the Principal Deputy CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, where he lead investments in tourism, ICT, and capacity building.[7]
