Liberal Federation

The Liberal Federation was a liberal conservative South Australian political party from October 1923 to 1932. It came into existence as a merger between the rival conservative Liberal Union and National Party, following friction between the non-Labor parties in South Australia stemming from the formation of the Country Party in 1919.[1][2] Richard Layton Butler was also a South Australian premier during the party's existence. It was a predecessor to the South Australian Liberal and Country League.
