Lewistown, Maryland

Lewistown is an unincorporated community in Frederick County, Maryland, United States.^[1] Lewistown Elementary school, part of Frederick County Public Schools, is located in Lewistown. There has been a school in the town since the 1800s.^[2]

On 23 June 1863 General John F. Reynolds' I Corps marched through Lewistown on their way to Gettysburg in pursuit of the Confederate army.^[3]
