Leslie George Hylton (29 March 1905 17 May 1955) was a West Indian cricketer, a fast bowler who played in six Test matches between 1935 and 1939 for the West Indies.[1] He played first-class cricket for his native Jamaica from 1927 to 1939.

Hylton debuted with four Tests against England in the 193435 season, taking 13 wickets at an average of 19.30, but had to wait until the 1939 series in England before playing his next two Tests, when he took three wickets.

Hylton is perhaps more well known for his death. In 1955, he was hanged for the murder of his wife, Lurlene. During his trial, Hylton claimed he had been trying to shoot himself but missed. He remains the only Test cricketer to have been executed.[1][2]
