Leslie E. Wong
Leslie E. Wong was named by the California State University Board of Trustees as the 13th president of San Francisco State University on May 10, 2012, and began his new position as president on August 1.[1] He previously served nine years as president of Northern Michigan University.[2]
Wong, a native of Oakland, California, received his B.A. from Gonzaga University, his master's degree in experimental psychology from Eastern Washington University and his doctoral degree in educational psychology from Washington State University.
Wong has served as a vice president of academic affairs the Valley City State University and held several leadership positions with the Colorado State University–Pueblo, in addition to holding faculty positions at the The Evergreen State College, and Pierce College.
