Lerato Lamola (born 17 June 1986) is a South African football (soccer) player who plays as a forward for Bloemfontein Celtic in the Premier Soccer League.[1]
Early career
Lamola played for Vardos and Tembisa-based M Tigers under Jerry Sikhosana. Lamola decided to study further before pursuing a career in football. Lamola studied at the Tshwane University of Technology and graduated with a national Diploma in Law and Logistics Management in 2009. He did also study for a Bachelor of Technology degree but he didn't finish studying.[2][3]
Club career
Lamola joins Roses United in 2012. He made his professional debut on 20 October 2012 in a 4–2 loss to Thanda Royal Zulu scoring his first goal in stoppage time. He got his first booking on 27 October 2012 against Mpumalanga Black Aces and his first red card on 31 October 2012 against FC Cape Town. On 21 February 2013, he scored his first brace against African Warriors in a 4–2 win. He got his second red card on 12 May 2013 in a 1–0 win over United FC.[4]
